Despite my grumbling there have been some pretty good moments during this WC. Got inspired to draw one of the most difficult moves in futbol, the bicycle kick, demonstrated by Richarlison, former Brazil WC star.
Brazil fell off this year for some reason, and didn't have the usual artistic play that we're used to seeing from that team. Richarlison didn't even make the cut either even though I believe he was Brazil's top scorer from last tournament, maybe he fell off too I'm not sure of the details.
At any rate he made this fantastic kick last WC in Qatar so I used it as reference because it was such a dynamic pose. Maybe I'll even give it a digital coloring pass.
Fingers crossed for an epic Spain vs. England final with Spain taking it all!

In honor of Bicycle Day I'm reposting my piece Lifting The Veil

On 19 April 1943, Albert Hofmann intentionally ingested 250 micrograms of LSD. This day is now known as Bicycle Day because he began to feel the effects of the drug as he rode home on a bike. This was the first intentional LSD trip.
