Jamie Mills

Jamie Mills is a multidisciplinary artist based in West Cornwall, UK. Working across textile, sculpture, drawing, and installation, his practice explores memory, relationships, connection, and the act of making itself. Through salvaged fabrics, natural materials, and repetitive processes of stitching and repair, Mills investigates how gestures become carriers of personal and collective experience.

Central to his practice is an exploration of repetition as both a material and emotional language. Marks, stitches, reconfigurations, and acts of repair become meditations on time, memory, and human experience. Rather than seeking resolution, his works embrace transformation, revealing how meaning is continually formed through return, attention, and care.

For Pending Response, Mills’ work resonates with the exhibition’s exploration of waiting as an atmosphere rather than a moment. His practice reflects the quiet persistence of holding, revisiting, and remaking, where repetition becomes a way of living with uncertainty rather than overcoming it.

Léa Porré

Working between London and France, Léa Porré is a sculptor and installation artist whose practice moves between archaeology, mythology, and speculative worldbuilding. Through sculpture, installation, and digital media, she constructs imagined histories and fictional civilisations, inviting viewers to question how memory, belief, and cultural narratives are continually formed and transformed.

A graduate of the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins, Léa Porré has presented work internationally, including at Centre Pompidou, Tate Modern, COB Gallery, and Tache.

Léa Porré’s practice resonates with the curatorial vision of Pending Response. Her work reflects on uncertainty not as something to be resolved, but as a space where histories remain unfinished, meanings continue to shift, and new possibilities can emerge.

Léa Porré

INKU Sphere is pleased to present the work of Léa Porré as part of Pending Response.

Working across sculpture, installation, and speculative worldbuilding, Léa Porré creates works that draw upon mythology, collective memory, and cyclical time. Her practice inhabits the space between archaeology and imagination, where fragments become narratives and histories remain open to reinterpretation.

For Pending Response, her work invites viewers to consider waiting not as absence, but as a site where memory, transformation, and new possibilities quietly unfold.

INKU Sphere is delighted to present Xanthe Burdett as part of Pending Response.

Featured work: Time Works on a Flattened Disk

In Time Works on a Flattened Disk, bodies, landscapes, and imagined ecologies merge into a shifting world where human and non-human forms become increasingly entangled. Through translucent layers of paint, Burdett creates spaces that feel suspended between memory, mythology, and transformation.

A graduate of the Royal College of Art and the University of Cambridge, Burdett has exhibited internationally, including at Untitled Miami, Aspen Art Fair, and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Recipient of the De Laszlo Foundation Young Artist Award, her practice explores the body as nature through personal mythology, landscape, and storytelling.

For Pending Response, Burdett’s work resonates with the exhibition’s exploration of uncertainty and becoming. Her paintings invite us to dwell within states of transition, where meaning is not fixed but continually emerging through time, imagination, and attention.

@anna__bochkova

We’re pleased to announce that Hamburg-based sculptor and installation artist Anna Bochkova will be participating in our upcoming group exhibition Pending Response, opening this August in London.

Working across sculpture, drawing and installation, Anna Bochkova creates imagined worlds shaped by care, empathy and belonging. Through ceramics, textiles, papier-mâché and metal, her practice explores migration, resilience and collective futures. Her works invite viewers into spaces where tenderness becomes a form of resistance and connection.

“Pending Response” explores states of suspension, delay and emotional limbo:
messages left unanswered,
feelings held in uncertainty,
moments that never fully arrive nor disappear.

More participating artists will be announced soon.

We’re pleased to announce that British sculptor and installation artist Sol Bailey Barker will be participating in our upcoming group exhibition Pending Response, opening this August in London.

Working across sculpture, installation, sound and performance, Sol Bailey Barker creates hybrid forms that move between ritual objects, ecological memory and speculative futures. His works feel simultaneously ancient and unfamiliar, somewhere between artefact, organism and myth.

Pansentient Arboriculture Collection, proposes a system of care in which trees and entire forests are considered sentient and aware, having a form of consciousness. This exhibition decodes our relationship with the arboreal world, or the world of trees, considering their cultural and spiritual roles, as well as practices such as agroforestry and ecological Preservation. Drawing on the folklore of Albion, or Ancient Great Britain, and carved from the trees of Sussex, the exhibition builds a bridge to the world our ancestors lived in, extending from their knowledge.

“Soft Architecture” exhibition review
Milan, 2025

Looking back on last year’s exhibition, we remain deeply grateful to everyone who helped shape the project through their presence, trust and support.

What made the exhibition meaningful was not only the works themselves, but the conversations, collaborations and moments shared around them — across installation days, opening night, and the time spent together in Milan.

A special thank you to:

@anais_gauthier_ @eleanorturnbullartist @abelinskaya @_simo_brah_ @millieeecccc @noeminmirata

Thank you for travelling to Milan and supporting the exhibition in person. Your generosity, care and commitment became an essential part of the exhibition’s atmosphere and memory.

As INKU continues developing future exhibitions and cross-cultural projects, we carry these experiences forward with great appreciation.

Our upcoming London exhibition will open on 21 August 2026.We look forward to sharing more soon.

Thank you for continuing to support INKU Sphere

Artist Preview — Isabelle Zetterström

@isabellezetterstrom
For Pending Response, Isabelle Zetterström’s work reflects a quiet state of suspension — where memory, emotion and perception remain unresolved, soft, and constantly shifting.

The exhibition explores waiting as an atmosphere rather than an interruption:
between request and fulfilment,
between care and its arrival,
between what is felt and what is answered.
