Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I introduced myself, and with so many new faces around, I figured it’s time for a (re)introduction.

I’m Thomi, and I’ve been keeping reptiles for over 30 years—everything from varanids and venomous species to turtles, pythons, and colubrids. Since the early 90s, I’ve been passionate about educating the public on these incredible animals.

These days, my main focus is ball pythons. I’m deeply fascinated by genetics, especially mutation identification and creating exciting new gene combos. My goal? To share knowledge, promote responsible breeding, and dive deep into the amazing complexity of ball python mutations with all of you.

Thanks for following along—can’t wait to share more with this awesome community! • #BallPython

@reptileinstitute, an education platform focused on the science behind reptile genetics just launched on Patreon and the first live lesson is TONIGHT!! Understanding reptile genetics can help you make more informed breeding decisions, predict possible outcomes, and better understand the traits you’re working with.

The first course is Genetics 101, a 12-week series that starts with DNA, chromosomes, genes, mutations and alleles, then builds into genotype vs. phenotype, inheritance, recessives, dominant and incomplete dominant inheritance, allelism, linkage and recombination.

If you want to get in at the Founding Member price, now is the time!

💰 The $19.99 tier is only available until 8 PM TONIGHT. After that, the lowest tier price goes up a little.

BUT… if you sign up as a Founding Member, you lock in that discounted price for as long as you remain a continuous member. 🙌

So if reptile genetics is something you want to understand better, join before 8 PM so you can be part of tonight’s first live session and lock in that intro pricing. Hopefully I will see you there ❤️🐍 by @inky.clouds
