'Ronald of Ronay' this year's entry to the @2020printexchange . An ode to Ronald the white tailed eagle I met in North Uist.

Tis a blending of Mokuhanga, several aquatints, spit bite and......drypoint.It took a while but I'm rather happy with it. I now begin work on a different version which will be available to purchase from my shop and at print fairs.

Absolutely fascinating day spent:- bashing, crushing and grinding rocks to make pigments, paints and inks with the insanely knowledgeable @foundandground - so generous with your knowledge, thank you 🙌

Another print in my North Uist inspired series done. The first started after my time away. Some prints just happen and almost bring them selves into existence other are little more of a battle. This print was very much that latter. All in all I'm happy with how the varied edition of 6 has come out. More info on that later

I Won't be applying for @printfestulverston as I have other commitments and want to focus on a new body of work.

However to all those printmakers out there I must whole heartly recommend you apply!! Its a wonderful event, for so many reasons but for me its all about the nerdy print chat(with both the visitors and the fellow stallholders)!

It is very competitive to get in, so please don't take it personally if you don't get in this time around!

DEADLINE - 7th Jan 2026

and GOOD LUCK!!!
