Hi there! 💖👋🏻

If you’re new start here ⬇️

I’m Ayla and I’m a tattoo artist based in Wellington working from @drmorsetattoo studio. I love working with a range of styles but particularly fond of illustrative, fineline & black and grey tattoos.

A huge part of what I love is working with a range of clients from all sorts of backgrounds & hearing their stories behind what inspired their ideas. No day is quite the same and it keeps it interesting for me 💕

I love the connection through the tattooing process and enjoy holding a space where you feel comfortable, heard & safe. That’s a huge part of what makes this job so fulfilling. I’m always open to any queries you may have, just shoot me a dm whenever 🫶🏻✨ by @inkyayla

Another lil beloved critter Dungeons & Dragons-ified for @cheetora123

Shadow the Barbarian 🤓🤺

We also tattooed her parrot Kyoshi a wee while ago who’s all healed up now 🥰 Thanks so much for trusting me with both of these fun ideas 💕

Matchy spikey boiii from the achieves ⛓️

I love when people want to commit to something bold & funnn. This was my clients first bigger tattoo & a custom walk in that we whipped up! We ended up splitting it into two smaller sessions (spicy spicy spot) so some parts are healed already & fresh 😺

Really enjoy black work & the flow it can create! 🤠

Work in progress for the lovely, fantastic, amazing, fave @leah.c.hay

Originally Leah just came in for one tattoo (peep the zebra at the back) but caught the tattoo virus & has progressively gotten more sick with each piece, filling in the gaps over the past year & half. The virus is unfortunately fatal & she plans to keep adding more down onto the forearm ☝️🤓

This has been such a fun project and only took me a million years to finally post an update 😬👍 Thank you so much for the continued trust, excellent company, laughs & lore. You’re a real one fr 🫡

Abstract Koi fish for the lovely Maya! 🌀

@thecoolrapper Made is a great example of how cool & diverse people that come through @drmorsetattoo doors are! She’s originally alllll the way from a tiny country called Latvia and has been travelling all over!

We started off with a small walk in tattoo & later did this custom piece, continuing her tradition of sneaking tiny numbers of her current age into each tattoo (peep the tiny 29)

(You never know if we may get dementia and forget the time stamps of the baddie adventures 🤷🏻‍♀️)

I love hearing all the stories & learning from my clients! Thanks so much for the trust and all the best on your travels 🥰💗

When you love Dungeons & Dragons and your animals 🦜🤓

Are you really a true nerd if you don’t have a D&D inspired tattoo & named your parrot Kyoshi? Carolyn reached out to me after seeing an archer rabbit tattoo I did a wee while ago and she was a dream to tattoo! 🥰

Thank you so much @cheetora123 for trusting me with this special piece & gifting me my own D&D dice! (Unfortunately I have no idea how to play 🫣😬 But I will appreciate it with my eyeballs & soul and add it to my trinket collection 😼)
