I used to avoid the shadows for a long time because I didn’t understand how they actually work. So I would draw them randomly, change directions halfway through or just skip them completely 🤷‍♀️

Once I fixed that, everything started to feel more dimensional and complete 🥰🎨

If your drawings feel flat, this is probably what’s missing.

Drawing challange is back for the July 🥳🥰
Walking around Hanoi, Vietnam I saw a lot of gorgeous shopfronts, but the red and green colours of this one really catched my eye, so I decided it will be perfect for DTIYS challange.

What you need to do?

Coloring book full with shopfront for watercolors - yeeees, that's what I made 🥳🎨

Here is part 3 with 7 of the shops inside the book tgat you can use as a reference while coloring your own 🥰

"Cozy shops in watercolor" has 28 shopfronts for you to color on 200gsm textured paper made for watercolors,inks,pencils,markers - I think this paper is awesome and can handle all the materials 🥰 and a lot of you think the same - I have read all the lovely messages and reviews 🥰

Drawing of the pink cafe in Paris with ink and watercolours 🥰
I think this summer I need to visit Paris 100%, there are too many cute and cozy cafes and shops, that just need to be drawn..

I spent a lot of time eating fruits with yogurt in this cafe in Ninh Binh. The owners were so lovely and nice to me (we smiled, we chatted with google translate) that I needed to draw them a little gift - quick ink & watercolour sketch of the entrance 🥰
And they were sooo happy to receive it, and it made me very happy 🥰 by @inkypaperhouse
