Track Day [Pure Sound]

Pure sounds of the car during the 10/7 SCCA TNiA at MSR cresson.

Great day with my family and thankful for my girlfriend, brother and dad being there with me. Family track days are undefeated. Maybe in another life we were a racing team with how we organized tools, transports, meals etc. 😅 … can’t wait to do this again!

Quick drive, still testing out the fitment, this time on much bumpier roads. Very pleased with front end response… these RT660+ are so nice 🤌

305 Falken RT660+ all around on Narrowbody Challenger. Excited to see what this thing can do in November. 🏁

Lucky to join my girlfriend this past weekend as a guest in her Mustang Unleashed experience, she bought her GT December last year having worked years to achieve it and this came as a nice complimentary surprise. 🏎️🐎

The event put us through some fun collision avoidance tests, an auto-x segment and then put us in a Darkhorse R (Emphasis on the “R”😮‍💨) at the end of the day for some seat time, classroom sessions and demo laps where our instructors drove the cars and showed us very quickly we didn’t even scratch the surface of the DHRs capabilities. 😅

Ford has done incredible things with these cars. From the Ecoboost with incredible balance (we trashed the hell out of the thing in the auto-x and it was incredibly fun right at the edge of grip) to the Darkhorse R which had insane lateral grip and braking, what a platform 👏

Beyond all this, very happy to see my girlfriend enjoying the car she loves so much in all it’s different forms and letting it rip! Peep #27 flying through the banked turn. Highlight of the trip for me. 🤣🤩

…

Don’t worry, the Challenger’s staying, learnt plenty that I could transition over to it 🤓 🏎️ taken in Concord, North Carolina by @inmotion_92

Routine Check-Up ✅

Haven’t posted in a while but took some time today to check this 8-9 year old thing underneath, behind the heads, RMS etc. for any leaks and thankfully it looks great. I’m still some ways out from my next track day but for now the car’s still driven on the weekends and I’m planning to keep it and finish the build, it’s sole purpose right now is repeatable and stable performance (heat management, mechanical grip consistency etc. etc.) so if you’re still here thank you for following the page. Slowly but surely it’ll be done 👌

🏁🚤Posting this vision exercise for fun. I really dig the black on black look lately but my heart tells me to stick to the polished lip and gray face on wheels. What do ya’ll think?

Side-note, mentally opening up to a chassis mounted wing, we’ll see.
