YOUR HAIR PARTING CAN CHANGE YOUR ENTIRE EXTENSION RESULT

And it’s something you should discuss with your extensionist before the installation starts. Why?

Because your parting determines how the extensions can be distributed in the upper areas of your head — and how much natural hair needs to remain free to cover them.

If extensions are placed too low, you can end up with a visible separation: shorter natural hair sitting like a “top layer” and long extensions underneath.

But placing extensions as high as possible isn’t automatically better either. The higher the placement, the more carefully we need to preserve enough natural hair for coverage.

And here is where your everyday habits become important.

If you always wear a middle part:
the installation can be planned around that specific position.

If you always wear a side part:
the distribution can be adapted to that side and the way your hair naturally falls.

If you regularly switch your parting:
your extensionist needs to know this. More natural hair may need to remain free in the upper area so you can move your hair from side to side without exposing the extensions.

The same applies if you often tuck your hair behind your ears, wear ponytails or like hairstyles that expose the temples and hairline.

This is why a good consultation shouldn’t only be about length, colour and grams.
