Time for a little re-introduction 👋🏼

I’m Hayley. I’m 45, nearly 46. I have a law degree, I’ve spent over 20 years in corporate and I still work full-time in a career I genuinely love.

I’m also an ICF accredited coach. ICF = International Coaching Federation. Basically proof I didn’t just wake up one morning, put “coach” in my Instagram bio and start giving life advice 😂

I’ve studied health and nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and trained professionally in resilience and women’s coaching.

So when I talk about women’s health, nutrition and our bodies, it hasn’t come from ChatGPT or whatever health hook is doing the rounds on Instagram this week. I’ve actually studied this stuff.

Which also means I’m not going to sell you a red light mask while telling you to “regulate your nervous system” if I couldn’t explain what your nervous system actually is.

Wild, I know.

I built Inner Architect because I have a very big, busy & beautiful life and I bloody love it.

I work. I train. I travel. I have a husband, a dog, friends, family, goals and a long list of things I still want to do.

I don’t want to escape my life or make it smaller so I can cope with it.

I want to be strong and healthy enough, physically and mentally, to keep living it.

And that’s really the point of Inner Architect.

You probably don’t have, and sometimes simply can’t have, a slow whimsical morning with two hours to journal, meditate, make the perfect breakfast and wander off to yoga.

You also don’t need to turn looking after yourself into another full-time job.

But… you do need to get really honest with yourself!

How are you actually living?
What are you doing that’s helping?
What are you doing that clearly isn’t?
And what are you prepared to do differently?

That’s the radical self-awareness bit. And I’m a big believer in it.

Then we get to work on the stuff that matters. Your health, nutrition, strength and resilience.

No perfect routine. No complete life overhaul.

Just a woman who knows herself a bit better, understands her body a bit better and is prepared to actually do something with that information.

If you’re new here, a big hello 🤍 by @inner_architectcoaching

The women I work with are some of the most capable people I know. Effort has never been their problem.

The problem is that they have been holding a great deal with very little supporting them underneath. And a foundation is not built by trying harder.

The ARCH Method is how I work. Awareness, Regulation, Clarity, Holding.

It moves in that order for a reason.
You cannot regulate a nervous system you have not honestly looked at. A plan built on a body still in survival mode will not hold.
And none of it stays without the capacity to keep choosing it when life gets hard.

It draws on integrative health, nervous system science, NLP, nutrition and mental & physical strength work, because a woman is all of these at once, and the work has to be too.

If your life looks well held from the outside but feels heavier underneath, this is the work I do.

The first conversation is a Clarity Call.

A link is in my bio, or you can send me the word CLARITY and we can build a foundation that lasts together. by @inner_architectcoaching

If you’re curious about working together, this carousel walks you through everything.

I work with women 1:1 through a series of coaching capsules, each one built around where you are right now and what your life actually needs.

For women who want to do the work alongside others, I also offer group coaching and workshops, in person in Dubai or virtually.

For organisations, I offer speaking engagements and group experiences for the women in their teams. The ones who are holding a lot, performing well, and quietly running on empty.

All of it is rooted in the same belief.
That sustainable change starts with understanding the whole person your health, your nervous system, your emotional life, your foundations.

If any of this resonates, DM me CLARITY
or email me at hello@innerarchitectcoaching.com

Let’s start with a conversation.

and you can never convince me otherwise! by @inner_architectcoaching

I’ve fallen in love with doing hard things because I’ve learnt that I don’t have to listen to every excuse my mind comes up with.

And believe me, it comes up with plenty.

There is something incredibly satisfying about doing something you didn’t think you could do. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. Keeping the promises you make to yourself, even when you really can’t be bothered.

And I’m not just talking about the gym.

I’m talking about the difficult conversations, the decisions you’ve been avoiding, starting again, being rubbish at something new and doing what you said you would do long after the motivation has disappeared.

The more you do these things, the more you realise you’re capable of handling. And that changes how you approach pretty much everything in life.

It’s something I talk about a lot in my coaching. We can’t build resilience if we constantly avoid discomfort. We need opportunities to practise doing difficult things, making decisions and trusting ourselves to follow through.

That doesn’t mean ignoring your body, neglecting recovery or pushing through everything. Knowing the difference matters.

But I genuinely believe one of the best things you can do for your future self is stop automatically choosing the easiest option.

Life isn’t always going to be comfortable. And personally, I wouldn’t want it to be.

When was the last time you did something hard? by @inner_architectcoaching

Walking up the stairs. Carrying your shopping. Getting yourself up off the floor. Things we do every day without giving them a second thought.

But being able to keep doing them as we get older is something I think we should be paying far more attention to.

I’m 46, and one of the biggest reasons I train is because I want to remain as independent and physically capable as possible for as long as possible.

My husband and I plan to retire in Thailand, and I can assure you, slowing down is absolutely NOT part of the plan. We’ll still be hiking, exploring, travelling and probably competing over something ridiculous in our gym.

Here’s something worth knowing. Women can lose up to 20% of their bone density in the five to seven years following menopause. And maintaining muscle becomes increasingly important as we age.

This is why strength training matters so much.

Your muscles need progressive overload. Gradually increasing the resistance or difficulty is what builds strength.

You don’t need to live in the gym. Two or three proper strength sessions a week are a great place to start.

We spend so much time and money worrying about how our bodies look. I’d love to see us put just as much effort into what they’re capable of doing.

I’m all for a good face cream, but let’s not forget about the body underneath it 🤍 by @inner_architectcoaching

Seven years ago, I was exhausted, struggling with my health and frustrated with how I felt in my own body.

Today, at 46, I’m stronger, healthier and more confident than I’ve ever been.

But I know exactly what it took to get here.

No biohacking. No expensive wellness retreats. No miracle supplements or elaborate morning routines.

Just genuine, consistent, often bloody inconvenient hard work.

Learning about my body. Taking my health seriously. Changing how I ate, slept, trained and managed stress. Questioning habits I’d spent years repeating and taking responsibility for the things within my control.

All while working a demanding full-time job and navigating everyday life.

There were setbacks, mistakes and plenty of days when I couldn’t be bothered. But I kept showing up.

And this is the part of changing your life that nobody can sugarcoat.

You have to do the work. Especially when it’s boring, uncomfortable and nobody’s watching.(and if anyone tries to tell or sell you otherwise - run and don’t look back!)

You can spend a fortune trying to optimise your health, but none of it replaces the foundations or the consistency required to make meaningful changes.

At 46, I’m not here because I’ve discovered some secret to ageing well. I’m here because I’ve spent seven years investing in my health and keeping promises to myself.

And I’m still doing it.

The woman I was at 39 made decisions that I’m benefiting from today.

Now I’m making decisions that the woman I’ll be at 50, 60 and beyond will benefit from too.

Because getting older is inevitable. How we choose to look after ourselves along the way deserves a lot more attention. by @inner_architectcoaching

I sometimes wonder whether we’ve become so obsessed with finding answers that we’ve forgotten we’re supposed to do something with them.

There’s an extraordinary amount of information available to us about our health, our bodies and our minds. More than most generations of women have ever had access to. And yet we’re still looking for the next explanation, the next supplement, the next expert or the next reason why something isn’t working.

I see this a lot in the health space, and it’s something I challenge in my coaching. Because at some point, we have to be willing to look at our own behaviour, not just our circumstances.

That doesn’t mean every health issue can be solved through lifestyle changes. Of course it can’t. But I do think we’ve become very comfortable discussing what we want to change and considerably less comfortable examining what we’re prepared to do about it.

And that’s where coaching gets interesting.

Not another list of things you should be doing or another routine to follow. It’s about taking an honest look at what’s happening in your life, the decisions you’re making and whether they’re supporting the woman you keep saying you want to become.

I think we could all benefit from questioning ourselves a little more often, myself included. Because knowing better is one thing. Being willing to do something differently is quite another.

A little food for thought from your coach 🤍

Which slide made you feel slightly uncomfortable? by @inner_architectcoaching

According to the internet, a healthy day looks like this.

Up at 5am. Sunlight in your eyes within ten minutes. Cold plunge. Three pages of journaling. No coffee for 90 minutes, obviously. Lemon water, green juice, then a matcha. 10,000 steps, zone 2 cardio, and a reformer class that costs more than your weekly shop. Track your sleep, your HRV, your glucose and your cycle. Magnesium, ashwagandha, collagen, creatine, sea moss. Lights out by 9.

Meanwhile you’ve got a 7am call with one time zone, a 9pm call with another, and a lunch that is currently a protein bar at the bottom of your handbag.

No wonder so many women feel like they’re failing at being well - I used to be one of them!

Here’s what I actually get my clients doing.
🤍Lunch away from the laptop.
🤍One walking call.
🤍Three slow breaths before a big important meeting.
🤍One pause before saying yes.

(Just a certified health coach with a full-time corporate career, putting the same principles I coach women on into practice in my own life. Because I know what it takes to look after your mind and body when life is already full.) by @inner_architectcoaching

One thing I wish more women understood is that being consistent with your goals doesn’t mean doing more.

Sometimes it means getting a lot better at making decisions about what actually deserves your time and effort.

I’m not interested in creating another list of things women feel they should be doing before 7am.

I’d rather help them get really good at the things that make a difference. by @inner_architectcoaching

We’ve become so obsessed with getting results quickly that we’ve forgotten what it takes to build something that lasts.

We want better health in 30 days.
A stronger body in six weeks.
More confidence after reading one book.
A calmer mind after downloading an app.

And there’s an entire industry making a fortune from our impatience.

But you can’t shortcut years of neglecting your health.
You can’t buy resilience.
And you certainly can’t build confidence by avoiding everything that makes you uncomfortable.

Some things require time, effort, repetition and a willingness to keep going when the novelty wears off.

It’s not particularly exciting.
There’s probably no discount code for it either.

But I’m a big believer in playing the long game, especially when it comes to the life, mind and body you’re going to be living with for the next 30 or 40 years.

I’d rather spend years building something that lasts than spend my life starting again.

As your coach, I’ll help you get those foundations in place. I’ll support you, challenge you and help you figure out what actually works for your life.

But you? You’re the one who has to carry them through, long after our work together is done.

And that’s exactly the point of good coaching! by @inner_architectcoaching

I find it quite extraordinary how quickly we’re willing to take health advice from complete strangers on the internet.

Someone tells us we need a particular supplement, a new morning routine or a £200 gadget, and suddenly we’re questioning whether we’re doing enough for our health.

But how much do we actually know about the bodies we’re trying so hard to improve?

Do you understand what happens to your brain when you’re not sleeping properly?
Why your muscles become increasingly important as you age?
How prolonged stress affects your ability to think clearly and make decisions?

These are things worth knowing.
I’m all for learning from qualified professionals. I do it myself, constantly.

But I’m also a big believer in women taking responsibility for understanding their own health.

Read.
Ask questions.
Challenge what you’re being told.
Learn enough to recognise when something is useful and when someone is simply trying to sell you something.

This is your body, your mind and your health.

Please don’t outsource all your knowledge and decision-making to whoever happens to be popular on Instagram this week.

You deserve to understand what you’re looking after 🤍
