Yes. I'm a piano teacher but I've gotten to like architecture, sooooo much that I decided to do a course on it. And yes, I passed. A 10-module online course. Studied very hard. And after learning about architecture, I made a discovery on how architecture and music were closely related.
I will have a talk/seminar on this topic. Just as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe stated: Music is liquid architecture and Architecture is frozen music.

Never been prouder that a student of mine achieved in such a level in piano studies. We threw in hard work, patience, determination, sweat and time (and of course money) to achieve the unimaginable especially with post-covid changes to the exam and national service in Singapore. But he beat all odds to get here. Many Congratulations!!! Many thanks to Kaede Loh, one of our MECS teachers, for running our first teacher-led workshop on Harnessing the Neuroscience of Music and Emotion! We learnt about how student behaviour can be better understood through the lens of neuroscience and psychology, and how we as teachers can better empathise with student needs and adapt our teaching approaches to engage students better and win them over. 💕

Kaede also demonstrated a few brain gym games to promote right and left brain coordination, attention to detail, cognitive flexibility and fine motor skills. 💪

As a screenwriter, filmmaker, and a recipient of architectural theory from HarvardX (an online learning initiative of Harvard University, Graduate School of Design), thought process and the balanced use of the left and right brain have always been crucial in problem-solving and emotion regulation.
