In a world where our lives are seamlessly intertwined with mundane items, this exhibition invites you to delve into the significance of the objects we often overlook. From the cups we sip our morning coffee from to the chairs we sit on, these objects, extensions of our identity and culture, shape our daily existence. 'Many Cups in a Large Sink' challenges these conventions, presenting The Cup as a medium for inventive expression. Contemporary artists question fundamental notions of form, function, and action, infusing everyday objects with fresh perspectives. Through artistic reimagination, cups cease to be mere conveniences; they transform into vessels of profound meaning, inviting us to forge deeper connections with the world. 'Many Cups in a Large Sink' stands as an exploration of a ubiquitous everyday object – The Cup. Throughout centuries, cups have been a silent witness to human civilization, embodying both functionality and cultural symbolism. In this exhibition, we aim to challenge conventional boundaries surrounding form, function, and materiality. Nineteen contemporary artists, designers and makers have, in their own artistic styles, redefined cups, transforming familiar objects into rather unusual shapes that demand attention and contemplation. Conceptual Design and Creative Direction for the Dirty Cut 25 Trophy (@thedirtymagazine) In its completed form, the anti-trophy honours the unseen stages, the imperfect drafts, and the enduring efforts of its holders. This is a recognition that honours the invisible, quiet parts of work behind the scenes. The anti-trophy is a spatial proposition, a contemporary-historic artefact, and a testament to the unfinished and collective idea of legacy. by @inordinary.in
