Meet Alec who is also apart of our residency program 🤍

Interconnect loves collaborating with @inplay_projects and working with Alec to help make is creative ideas come to life. He has a weekly spot where he works by himself delving into his own practice or he uses his time to invite others into the space to jam, produce and most of all just hang.

If you are interested in having a couple of hours a week dedicated to your practice, get in touch. We have 1 month and 3 month programs but we are always happy to discuss special requests.

April is filling up so dm or email us to book in later in the year! by @inplay_projects

Looking back at 2025

A year of play, risk, collaboration, and showing up: in studios, theatres, and community spaces. We shared movement, ideas and questions with so many people, and each encounter shaped InPlay in ways we couldn’t have planned.

• 13 public classes
• 300+ audience members
• 1 development showing
• 6 public performances

– 2 performances apart of Gravity Duality (with Creeping Cat) at through the Coburg Courthouse Residency

– 4 performances of The Ballad of Bouncing Back at Dancehouse as part of Melbourne Fringe

Deep gratitude to collaborators, venues, presenters, and everyone who watched, moved, listened, or leaned in.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from Itsonthehouse ‘an astonishingly intelligent work, performed with precision, vulnerability, and physical wit.’ - Mary Sinanidis, on The Ballad of Bouncing Back.

The Ballad of Bouncing Back, by Alec Katsourakis & InPlay Projects / 7pm, Wed 15 — Sat 18 Oct 2025

— The ultimate rebound

What does it take to pick yourself up? Dust yourself off? To bounce back, again, and again, and again?

With plenty of balls, set somewhere between a playground and a pressure cooker, The Ballad of Bouncing Back embraces the absurdity of keeping it together when everything is falling apart.

Endurance takes centre stage, not as spectacle, but as a slow-burn act of resistance: relentless, playful, optimistic and quietly defiant. Through rhythm, repetition and ritual, a physical vocabulary unfolds, channeling both the absurdity and the necessity of resilience.

See YOUR CHOICE OF either to disappoint a god. by Carmen Yih OR Down the Hallway, to Your Left by Hayley Roe on the same night for $45 or see ALL THREE SHOWS for $60!
