I've covered an @heineken @heineken_it bottle with aluminium tape. I' m using the bottle as controller, linking the metal tape and my hand with electrodes. The signal resulting Is controlling voltages of @behringer arp 2600. The signal Is quantized and harmonized inside @ableton . Hope you enjoy, headphones recommended 🍾

Magnetic Echo

A Monome Norns script I’ve been working on over the past few weeks.
Inspired by classic Binson-style magnetic disk delays:
• 4 tape heads with independent speeds
• Loop & Echo modes
• Wow & flutter control
• ...and much more.
Now available open-source on my GitHub. Link in bio!

Soluzione pt. 3

For the final chapter of this collaboration between Insects Theory and Animo Cocktail, I'm taking you behind the scenes of my studio.

How does matter sound? I measured the electrical conductivity of the drinks crafted by Celeste, translating their chemical charge into musical notes. I worked on textures and frequencies to design a tailored sound palette for every single recipe.

This video shows the bridge between the chemistry at the bar counter and analog synthesis in the studio.
A complete visual, gustatory, and sonic experience.

The complete sound project is now available on Bandcamp! Hit the link in bio to stream or purchase the tracks.

New experiments
@koma_elektronik Chromaplane has arrived and here I'm using it with @landscape.fm ferrous in a weird config.
Ferrous is talking with chromaplane envelope, inviting each other to talk.
A sort of feedback is obtained, in smooth and continue dialogue depending distance of coil pickup microphone and rotating disc.
Electromagnetic instruments always fascinated me and this new cycle of experiments if getting wild.

Soluzione pt 2

The focus shifts to the mind that guided the elements: Celeste.
To bring these 6 tracks to life required a sensibility capable of seeing cocktails not as mere recipes, but as chemical architectures and frequencies. Celeste from @animo_cocktailbar crafted and balanced the liquid foundation of the project, tuning conductivity and density to drive the synth modulations across 6 distinct sonic landscapes.
Without her vision behind the bar, this transformation from physical matter to sound synthesis wouldn't have been possible. Her touch shaped the identity of every single composition.
Today the recorded material is officially available on my Bandcamp page.

Just a bunch of circles dancing in the twilight.

Euclid is my new monome norns script: a MIDI sequencer with 4 independent tracks, each harmonized with different scales.

The more I write new scripts, the more I realize this might be a permanent direction in my search for new forms of expression.

Thinking about what you need and being capable of doing it is a form of survival, or art. To me, it is the natural consequence of life, music, and sound.

I am probably more intrigued by sound than by music itself, and that gives me a completely different approach.

Lately, summer has been bringing a whole new wave of energy. I've been spending hours diving into new norns scripts, experimenting with fresh ideas. I Finally decided to take the leap and bought a violin.
It’s an instrument that has quieted in the background of my mind and inspired me in the past, like strings in general, and it just felt like the right moment to finally pick it up and explore where it takes me.

Abbiamo mappato queste variazioni infinitesimali, traducendole in note, impulsi e modulazioni inviate direttamente agli strumenti.

Presto sulla mia pagina Bandcamp.

There is an invisible current running through everything we drink.
In - Soluzione -, we decided to give a voice to this energy.
The project is born from a studio collaboration between @insectstheory and @animo_cocktailbar, where we decided to use the electrical conductivity of liquids as a bridge between matter and sound synthesis. Every ingredient, every density, every balance alters the flow of the current.
We mapped these infinitesimal variations, translating them into notes, impulses, and modulations sent directly to the instruments. Therefore, the instruments do not play an existing track; they react, in real time, to the physical properties of what is inside the glass.
The goal was to "reveal the invisible."
The drink no longer accompanies the listening experience: it generates it, modifies it, resolves it. 🧪🎹

"What happens when you connect a biofeedback synthesizer to perfume?"
The Pocket Scion by Instruo is designed to read tiny changes in electrical resistance from living organisms — plants, fungi, even your own skin. It maps that data into notes and sound in real time.
I wanted to push it further. So I connected the sensors to a drop of Prada perfume instead.
Turns out, perfume conducts electricity. And apparently, it has a lot to say.
No programming, no sequencer, just the molecules in the bottle deciding what comes next.
