》BEFORE

So this is the before of our bathroom (mid clearout 🙈), it might not look too bad to some people, but we have lived with this bathroom for 14years.

We painted the tiles as a cheap makeover 2 years ago, now they are all chipped from the kids bashing toys into them.

The vantiy was a worktop with chipboard centre, and through the years and water ware the top had started to come away so was all exposed.

There was damage to the inside from water, and all the shelves were warped.

The bath was old and scratched and never seemed fully clean!

The floor was cheap vinyl that we had laid on top of the old one just to update it a little.

There were skirting boards which we replaced 3 times and they kept getting water damaged and rotting.

So we were well overdue a new bathroom and couldn't wait!

I LOVE this fence! I'm so proud of myself for making this with a little help from my dad 😊

Is it perfect, absolutely not! But yano what.... I don't care, because the satisfaction from knowing that I built it, outweighs the need for it to be! (Who even am I) 🤣

And love the way the stain has turned out, as usual I jumped straight in, didn't test anything and just lashed it on, but @cuprinol_uk oak 👌 it's the one.

That curve 👌

The downstairs loo is very nearly finished, just a few snags and then it's done 🙌

It's taken alot longer than anything else in the house, due to starting it so heavily pregnant and then the arrival of the little one. So it feels like a massive achievement that we are very almost there.

I cannot wait to move all of the decorating stuff outta here and actually have normal livable rooms 🤣

| Utility refresh

Just a quick refresh in here.

I'll try and find a before pic 😑

I painted the cupboard the same as the kitchen, painted the walls, had a little Marie Kondo clean up and moved some things about.

I also tried to wrap the worktop... its alright, harder than I thought, but it looks OK and it will do for now. I wanted to trial it in here as its a simple worktop shape and sink wise, with the intention of wrapping the kitchen worktop.... safe to say I won't be wrapping the kitchen, I'll make do with it 🙈🤣

Realised I never shared a picture of the finished kitchen!

We just did a cheap and quick upcycle by painting the cupboards and getting new handles.

Then we ripped out the recess cupboards and got a bigger fridge freezer, and built a shelf over the top.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

Downstairs loo progress.

We started this just before Christmas, it's not finished yet, but the paining is pretty much done.

Just need to get the cabinet and fit the sink to it, and then I can finish the panelling behind the sink, then it will be done!

The transformation of the alcove.

Here's a few pics of the different stages of the alcove.

We found an ikea cabinet with pretty much perfectly fit inside the alcove, which saved loads of time and work!

Then dad built the shelves for us, reinforced the cabinet top and attached the skirting board across the bottom.

I then filled, filed and painted it all, and I have to say, it looks pretty darn good 👍

Swipe to see the living room transformation.

We used to have a dresser in the alcove but I knew this wasn't utilising the space to the best of its potential. So we decided to build in a cabinet and shelves and it just uses the space so much better! We have loads of storage and I love how it's turned out!

Finishing the room off with this beautiful wooden beam mantle from @funkychunkyfurniture
