During our 3rd time on Koh Phangan, we finally made it to Ang Thong Marine Park! 🌊

We’d been wanting to go for a while, but somehow it never happened. So when our friend @talfortus.music invited us to spend a day out on the sea, we were obviously in. We got picked up around 7:30, but it was worth the struggle.🙌🏽

We got front-row seats on the speedboat, had great company and somehow got really lucky with the weather. The snorkeling was actually so much better than we expected because the conditions were just perfect that day! The water was calm and clear, and we could see way more than we thought we would. Even saw fish we hadn't seen before, epic🐠

We kayaked, swam, hiked up to the Emerald Lagoon and explored some of the 42 islands that make up this protected national marine park. 🌿

Did we get sunburned? Obviously. But we were out all day, so honestly… worth it. 😂 We hereby solemnly swear to wear SPF 50 or higher from now on, until eternity.✌🏼

Bought Pokémon packs in China 🇨🇳… opened them in Vietnam 🇻🇳 🎴

We got our hands on the Pokémon 30th Anniversary Celebration packs but what did we pull? 👀
I bought these packs in Shanghai China, we stumbled upon an epic pokemon store in a mall, on our way to mac donalds😂 classic. Obviously had to share this lute with my buddy @seannietsjon , the biggest pokemon fan i know🙌🏽😁🫡

New bromance level unlocked🫶🏼😂 this may or may not have been the most important reason to book a trip to Vietnam😂
The experience is so funny, it goes by so fast but we had so much fun.
It is only 100000 Vietnames Dong, the people are super kind and a cold beer or coke is included🙌🏽

If you want to feel or your are a kid at heart like us, this is the place to be.
Overall we were pretty impressed by all the attractions in this park but the waterpark stole our hearts.

So… is Ba Na Hills worth it? 👀

We already knew this was going to be plastic fantastic.

So we got there early because the park opens at 8 AM and we wanted to beat the crowds. But by the time you’ve taken the first cable car, walked through the park and taken another cable car up to the Golden Bridge, the bridge is already completely packed🥲😂

So there we were, €35 lighter, standing shoulder to shoulder with everyone else on a giant plastic-fantastic bridge. 🫠

At that point, we figured we might as well enjoy the theme park.

Except… the attractions aren’t really worth it either. The whole place feels more like one giant Instagram backdrop than an actual theme park. And everything is completely random. One minute you’re walking through a French village🥖, the next you’re at a beer brewery🍻, and somehow there’s a fantasy land around the corner. You genuinely never know what’s coming next.

And because the entire park is built high up in the mountains, it can get surprisingly cold. We showed up in tank tops and were absolutely freezing. 😂🥶

The highlight for us was definitely the Alpine Coaster, although that costs another €3 and isn’t included in the ticket.💸

The Golden Bridge itself? Very plastic-fantastic, but the concept is pretty and fantasy like.✨️
The views around the park? Pretty gorgeous.😍

And then, because apparently this place couldn’t get any more random, we ended up at the brewery, got two free beers each and were completely unexpectedly treated to a very sexy burlesque show.💃🏻👯‍♂️ It felt like we’d accidentally stumbled onto Lady Gaga’s backup dancers.

Aka… they SERVED. 👌🏼

What a fever dream this place was.

So… would we go again? Absolutely not.
Would we recommend it? Absolutely not. 😂
