The carefree, sun-soaked style of 2014 is making a stylish resurgence after taking over Instagram feeds and music festivals a decade ago. Once defined by mirror selfies, the rise of the app Musical.ly, and 2017 beloved Starbucks unicorn Frappuccino, this aesthetic is being rediscovered by a generation that LOVES a good throwback.

In the final weeks of my sophomore year of high school, I met Kathy.
We would stay up late talking, and I would ask her stupid questions. Hypotheticals. Would-you-rather. The kind of nonsense that feels like profound philosophy at 1:17 a.m. Like, “Would you rather fight a duck-sized horse or a horse-sized duck?”
At 16, I felt alone. Kathy never made me feel alone.

Spoiler alert, you’re going to need more than faith, trust and pixie dust. BTS has officially made their comeback after a three-year hiatus from group activity. Some people have said their comeback is almost as iconic as Jesus resurrecting from the cave. A fan on X made a shrine with BTS’ toys from McDonald’s with the caption: “Please lord take me now if BTS’ new album doesn’t have Prod. Yoongi.”

Some people say they don’t use AI. They probably just don’t realize it’s open in another tab.
Artificial intelligence is no longer something tech bros argue about on podcasts. It’s in our classrooms, in our group chats, in our late-night Google Docs. It writes essays. It builds resumes. It generates art. It outlines scholarship responses when your brain is fried at 11:47 p.m. For a lot of students, it isn’t optional. It’s a study partner, a planner, a tutor — and sometimes, if we’re honest, a crutch.

Long before echoed laughter bounces through the walls of Cruz Reynoso Hall, before the sharpness of a coach’s whistle or grunts of depleted athletes spill out of Sherbeck Field, before the thunderous exhaust and screeching tires blaring from the student parking structure — something special takes place. While many of us are still fast asleep, this 113– year– old campus rises from its slumber and prepares for another day. Who prepares this campus for the day? It’s people like irrigation specialist Gary Alamo, who’s worked at Fullerton College for over 25 years. Alamo is one of many hard-working maintenance workers who pour into this campus day after day to ensure that the historic beauty of Fullerton College remains safe, clean and enjoyable for the more than 10,000 individuals who stroll the campus daily.
