💬Comment “SHARK” and I’ll send you the info on our favorite shark figurines!Dive into SHARK WEEK with this fin-tastic mystery water play! 🌊🦈Sharing one of our all-time favorite shark activities — because Shark Week only comes once a year and we just couldn’t resist bringing this one back! It is SO easy to set up and the kids go absolutely wild for it. 🙌🏼Here’s how to make your own shark hunt:1️⃣ Fill a tray with water, then add washable paint and cornstarch (or baking powder) until the water turns cloudy and opaque — this creates your “mystery water”!2️⃣ Toss in some small shark figurines so they disappear beneath the surface.3️⃣ Add other small figurines too — fish, sea creatures, whatever you have — to make the hunt more of a challenge!4️⃣ Give your little explorer a small strainer or slotted spoon and take turns scooping to “catch” the sharks!So simple, so fun, and a great activity to keep little hands busy and curious. 🙌 #sensoryactivity #sensorybin #toysthatteach #sharksforkids #sharkweek2026 by @inspired_schoolhouse

Yesterday we traded pencils for sand and playdough — and the results were SO good! 😊 In the sand tray, they made loops and curves with their fingertips.The playdough? SAVE this idea to try!My 7 & 8-year-olds have been learning two-digit addition and this was a fun hands-on way to get in some extra practice! 🧮To Play:1️⃣ Place two-digit number coins (you could also use slips of paper with numbers written on them) into pouches or sensory mixes.2️⃣ We used pouches and sensory mixes of different colors and spun the spinner to decide where to pick the number from!3️⃣ Repeat to get two numbers.4️⃣ Write your numbers down on paper (or dry erase board) and solve your addition problem!Would your child enjoy this?- Spinner from the Good at Math Graphing Kit from @cureightedco & @projectbasedprimary - Bean & tomato pouches are from @chickadeeswoodentoys #homeschoolmath #mathathome #mathgames by @inspired_schoolhouse

20 Seeds Math Game 🍉| Watermelon counting game printable from @projectbasedprimary (use code INSPIRED10). Here’s how we played to practice adding to 20! (note: you could easily modify this to practice adding to 10)🍉SETUP:- Each player takes a water melon slice.- Shuffle 3-4 copies of number cards 1-6 and place facedown in the center.- Place watermelon seeds in a bowl.🍉TO PLAY:1️⃣ Players take turns drawing the top card from the pile. 2️⃣ Place that many seeds onto your watermelon.3️⃣ Practice saying the addition fact.
