A little fall fun, 3D-printed edition 🍂🍎

I wanted to make a few simple fall activities for my 2 year old so I turned a few of the 3D models I found on MakerWorld into three different ways to play.

1. Fall Sensory Bin: with printed leaves, pumpkins + acorns
2. Apple Counting & Puzzle: a little apple tree + counting activity
3. Fall Playdough Stamps: fall-themed stamps for some playdough fun

One of my favorite things about having the @bambulab_official P2S is how easy it’s been for me as a beginner to go from finding a model on MakerWorld to actually making it. The whole process feels much less intimidating than I expected!

I also love that MakerWorld has such a huge variety of models to choose from so I’m constantly finding new ideas for our playroom.

At this point, I’ve realized a 3D printer isn’t just for printing toys. I’ve been finding practical little things to make for our everyday life.. from a Yoto Mini docking station to a car seat tray and a few things just for fun!

I love that I can find a model on MakerWorld, send it to print and come back to something I can actually use.

We’re using the @bambulab_official P2S and it’s been so beginner-friendly! I also love the enclosed design, especially with a toddler around 🤎

#ad I know these kinds of wooden toys can get expensive so I was really curious to try these Temu versions and I was pleasantly surprised! They’re beautiful, encourage open-ended play, and offer a much more budget-friendly way to introduce this type of play into your home.

I love that there’s no ‘right’ way to play with them. One day they’re building a tower, the next they’re creating an entire little village… it really lets their imagination take the lead. Definitely adding more to this collection!

#ad This indoor trampoline has been such a fun way for her to get her wiggles out! And I already know this is going to be a lifesaver on those cold days when we can’t spend as much time outside!!

It’s also so much more than just a trampoline.. think gymnastics rings, hammock, basketball, darts and a sandbag… there are so many ways to play!

Okay but how cute are these 3D printed donuts?! 🍩🥹

I LOVE that you can decorate them however you want with all the tiny toppings like sprinkles, flowers, hearts, stars and more! And it even comes with little containers for all the pieces🤍

The only thing I’ll say is that the pieces are tiny, so they definitely take some effort for little hands to put together. It’s almost like a little fine-motor activity on top of pretend play!

Okay, I’ve been getting so many questions about our 3D printer lately.. what printer we use and how I actually find it so here’s a little review so far!

We have the @bambulab_official P2S. I get why 3D printing can feel intimidating at first because I felt the exact same way! But once I started using it I was surprised by how simple the whole process actually was. If i can figure it out, I promise you can too! 😂

I also love having so many models to choose from through the Bambu Handy app and MakerWorld.. I swear I keep finding new things I want to print! And as a mama with a toddler around, I also really appreciate the enclosed design while it’s printing.

For this one I printed some fun sensory play tools (they’re so good!!) and some are MakerWorld Exclusive models!

I’ve been wanting to make Bible stories a little more interactive for little ones so I made these for my Sunday School class! 🤍

6 Bible stories, all turned into a simple Fold & Tell craft:
🐋 Jonah & the Whale
🦁 Daniel in the Lions’ Den
🪨 David & Goliath
🚢 Noah’s Ark
✝️ The Easter Story
🤍 The Gospel

Each story has 3 versions depending on how much you want the little ones to do. One that’s fully colored, one with some coloring, and one where they get to color everything.

I made these specifically for my Sunday School toddlers but thought I’d share them here too in case another mama, teacher, or Sunday School volunteer has been looking for a simple, hands-on way to teach Bible stories.

Okay, confession… my bubble rainbow didn’t work the first time either!!

So when I saw some of you try it and have the same problem I knew I had to share the 3 things that finally made it work for us!

✨ Secure the baby wipe VERY well - make sure it’s stretched tight and the rubber band is snug

✨ Mix the dish soap + water really well before dipping the wipe in

✨ Blow steadily, not super hard - this made a bigger difference than I expected

If you tried it and it didn’t work the first time, don’t give up! These little adjustments made all the difference for us ☺️

I still can’t believe these little pretend play pieces came out of our 3D printer! And since so many of you asked about them, I wanted to show you all the tiny details a little closer 👀

Just to clarify, I did not design these models myself! I found them on MakerWorld from some incredibly talented creators and printed them for our play kitchen. There are SO many amazing models to discover!
