Ahead of the Super Bowl, all eyes were on Bad Bunny (@badbunnypr) and not just for his music.

President Donald Trump and his administration, along with other conservatives, denounced and politicized the 31-year-old Puerto Rican artist's highly anticipated Apple Music Halftime Show. But on Sunday, Feb. 8, Bad Bunny — born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — had the last word with a momentous performance that paid tribute to his Latino heritage, Puerto Rican history and a historic set rooted in radical joy and unity.

As Darlene Lopez, founder and managing director of @evokecreativeagency, told USA TODAY ahead of the Super Bowl halftime show, Bad Bunny proved that "music and art are political."

Happy to share that I’m returning for my second year as a judge for the 41st Annual Imagen Awards 🤩

What started as a meeting in 1983 between THEE Norman Lear and Helen Hernandez, the Imagen Foundation has grown to be a cornerstone of the Latino community in Entertainment, celebrating and empowering Latino voices and proving access, education and resources.

The awards cover various verticals for Latino creatives, from TV and Film, to Writing, Music and now Podcasts and Creators. Past honorees include iconic Latinos/as such as Salma Hayek, Jenni Rivera, and Rita Moreno.

Honored to be included as a judge again, and to be part of the community! Stay tuned for more Latin excellence. 💫
