I was very young. Riding on my knee and pushing off with one foot down Sawtelle Blvd. Headed to Stoner Park to hang out with my cousins and friends. A little skateboard my Mom bought me, and just trucking down the sidewalk. Takes me way back. Takes me back to Venice. Takes me even further back to when my Grandfather would take me to the Santa Monica Pier to ride the carousel and eat at Hot Dog on a Stick. The Westside. And these teens created an alternative to staying home. We were all latch key kids. They were rebels. They were outlaws. They were kids themselves. Their influence is undeniable.
This is DOGTOWN.

Thank you Voyage LA for the opportunity to chat and discuss where I’ve been, but more importantly where I’m planning to go. Filmmaking has meant so much and I look forward continuing to do what love best. Thank you for all the support from my family, colleagues, and collaborators who make this all worthwhile.

Hey girl, watching you raise our children has been an absolute wonderful blessing for all of us. When you go the extra 10 miles for a simple party or to even make an ordinary holiday extra special for the kids in the early morning hours before school,
I see you. I appreciate you. I recognize how hard you work and use your creativity to make all our lives just not special, but quite literally, magical. Thank you for being an inspiration to our children and to me. To the soccer coach and the baseball Mom, event planner extraordinaire, a traveling partner, and wonderful producer and best friend, Happy Mother’s Day. I love you Kelly.

Late post due to Renaissance Faire outing on Mother’s Day. Needed a couple days to recoup. 🤣 taken in Los Angeles, California by @instaman20
