These are the people bringing all the characters, music, and whimsy of Seussical to life! 📅 October 11 | 5 PM 🎟️ Tickets are on sale! Find them through the link in our bio. Bring your kids, your friends, or the whole family — we’ll see you there! Horton the Elephant is the gentle, fiercely loyal hero of Seussical who risks everything to protect the microscopic inhabitants of Whoville on a floating speck of dust. Mocked by his peers for believing in things others can’t see, Horton stands firm on his defining motto: “A person’s a person, no matter how small.” The Cat in the Hat is our narrator and guide through the story. They’re playful, clever, and somewhat mischievous. We never quite know what they’re going to do next… Jojo is a smart, imaginative young Who whose “Thinks” often get her into trouble. Her friendship with Horton is the emotional heartbeat of the story and together they help each other find a place in their respective communities. Gertrude is sweet, kind, and loyal, but she’s also insecure about herself and her little one-feathered tail. Along the way, she learns that she doesn’t need to change who she is to be amazing. Mr. and Mrs. Mayor are the dedicated, well-meaning, and perpetually stressed leaders of Whoville in Seussical. Positioned as upstanding citizens of their microscopic world, they balance the high-stakes responsibilities of civic duty with the challenges of parenting. After all, who has the instructions on how to raise a child? Mayzie is confident, glamorous, and very aware of how charming she can be. She’s also selfish and a little too good at getting other people to do what she wants. Sour Kangaroo is loud, sassy, and not afraid to speak her mind. She’s one of the strongest personalities in the Jungle of Nool and isn’t exactly convinced by Horton’s story about the tiny Whos. The Wickershams are the mischievous monkeys of the Jungle of Nool. They love causing trouble, teasing Horton, and making his already difficult journey even harder. Sophia takes on several roles throughout Seussical, including Judge Yertle, a Who, a Jungle Citizen, and a Newscaster — helping bring the many different worlds of Seussical to life. taken in Brasília DF by @institutodebelasartes
