My granny used to tell me when I was little that I was powerful, but I lacked intention. She told me once I learned to move with intention, I would understand what I carried.

I wish she could see me now in this world .

I spent a lot of time running from my calling. Sometimes I misunderstood my gifts and sometimes I just didn’t know what to do with them. But Allah has shown me so much grace and mercy through it all. Eventually I stopped fighting it and surrendered.

To Allah. To my calling. To my ancestors. To the universe.To my bloodline.

To use me.

This has been the most intentional I’ve ever been in my life. I’ve watched prayers come to life for me and for people around me, and sometimes I still sit there in shock.

Allah (SWT) has allowed me to be a light for our people, and I’m finally understanding that it’s not just about what you carry. It’s about how intentional I am with it.

My Granny knew before I did. (She is gifted too)

I’m just grateful ….I’m finally understanding.🫶🏽

Life’s been moving fast,but I’m finally finding the words to share Chicago.

@dreamofdetroit invited my children &me to join the 66th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Riders March (Call to action), Fear almost got me but I prayed,I fasted,I manifested…I followed ORDERS.
Before we reached Chicago,we visited the ICE detention operation at Miami Correctional Facility in Indiana.

Standing there with my five children, hearing about two deaths in ICE custody, reported sexual assault allegations (adults,children) &lawsuits , and up to 1,000 detention beds extra because the facility is being ran out a maximum security prison in Indiana & its children held young as 1/2 years old ..! Yall ever felt Evil touch your spirit ..? I,We sat and prayed for all the people . It cost $261 dollars to hold 1 person at and ICE facility and that doesn’t included their (food,clothing,medical,dental,hygiene)that’s your tax dollars well spent for injustice..?
•FYI- the Chicago projects (Housed Brown&Black people ) that were raided earlier this year some of those people are in this facility…. And y’all know what happens next they will tear it down and build toxic corporations and franchise and data centers in place in our neighborhoods.

Then we marched through Chicago in the rain, hearing the stories of Freedom Riders and standing among people still carrying the work forward. Dr. King moved miles of people with word of mouth, mail and newspapers. We live in the most technologically connected era ever, and we still couldn’t fill those same miles. That stayed with me.

Days later, I went from marching on the ground to walking into @investfestival Black excellence, entrepreneurs, futurists, technologists and builders shaping what’s next for our people.

That parallel wasn’t lost on me.

God is using me,& I’m following orders. I’m watching prayers, visions ,voices,dreams I carried play out in real time. Light work doesn’t always make sense while you’re in it ..sometimes you only get the pieces.

Now they’re coming into full fruition& I get to show y’all.

Still spreading light. Still pouring into light. Still serving love.

This weekend felt like confirmation.

Not because everything was perfect, but because I could finally see the fruit of prayers I prayed in private.

So much has happened between what I asked God for and what I’m standing in now. Travel. Detours. Tribulations. Unexpected blessings. Closed doors. New rooms. New opportunities. Moments that stretched me, humbled me and reminded me to keep listening.

I kept praying. Kept doing the light work. Kept asking for guidance. Kept moving when my spirit told me to move, even when I couldn’t see where it was all leading.

And now I’m starting to understand.

Everything is in alignment.

Even the things I thought were delays.
Even the things I didn’t understand.
Even the moments that felt like they were pulling me away from the vision.

It was all guiding me closer.

Some prayers don’t arrive as one big moment. Sometimes they unfold piece by piece until one day you look around and realize… you’re living inside of what you once prayed for.

That’s what this weekend felt like.

A testimony.
A reminder.
A full-circle moment.

I’m still praying. Still listening. Still doing the light work. Still moving with intention.

And I can feel it in my spirit ….this is only the beginning.

Everything is in alignment.
