These are my notes and the message as I wrote ir earlier this year:
1. Surrender as Trusting God Completely

Biblical surrender begins with trust—placing confidence in God rather than in your own understanding, strength, or plans.

Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

What this kind of surrender looks like:
• Letting go of the need to control outcomes
• Choosing faith when circumstances are uncertain
• Depending on God’s character, not just His blessings

Other supporting verses:
• Psalm 37:5 – “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will act.”
• Jeremiah 17:7 – “Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.”

Key idea:
Surrender here is not passive resignation; it is active trust—a decision to rely on God even when you don’t understand His plan.

⸻

2. Surrender of One’s Will to God

This is surrender at its deepest level: choosing God’s will over your own desires, even when it is painful or costly.

The clearest example is Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane:

Luke 22:42
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

What this teaches:
• Surrender does not deny human emotion—Jesus expressed fear and anguish.
• True surrender happens after honest prayer, not instead of it.
• God’s will is trusted even when it leads through suffering.

Other verses:
• Matthew 6:10 – “Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
• John 6:38 – “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.”

Key idea:
Surrender of the will means saying, “God, I trust Your purpose more than my preference.”

⸻

Simple Summary
• Trusting God completely = surrendering control
• Surrendering your will = submitting your desires to God’s purposes by @intentionallydrivenenterprises

Celebrating the 3-year anniversary of my first book! 📖💜💡✨

What began as something that was never part of my plan turned out to be part of God’s greater plan. I’m forever grateful for this unexpected blessing, and my prayer is that its words continue to inspire, encourage, and bless others for generations to come. All glory to God! 🙏✨ by @intentionallydrivenenterprises
