I’ve never been interested in performing at people.

I’m interested in creating conditions for listening.

A listening room.

A room where tracks are allowed to unfold fully.
Where repetition isn’t treated as failure or something to escape.
Where silence carries weight.
Where attention matters more than spectacle.

Less performance.
More presence.

The system plays.
The machine speaks.
We exist within it and listen together.

Since 2009, INTERFACE DÜSSELDORF has existed somewhere between a club night, a listening session and an installation.

The music is allowed to breathe.
Tracks are allowed to exist fully.
Silence, tension and repetition have always been part of the signal.

There is no performance.
No constant transitions.
No choreography behind the decks.
No pressure to manipulate the room.

The idea is simpler than that.

A sound system.
A room.
A sequence of selections.

The system plays.
The room responds.
We operate within it together.

This is not a DJ set.

This is the machine speaking.
