I am pleased to share the video message from Kevin Fitzgerald, Secretary General, International Authors Forum for the Indian Publishers Conference 2026. His message highlights the importance of authors and publishers working together to strengthen copyright, support creativity and navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence. He also emphasises the need for strong policy frameworks and an environment where publishing, creativity and knowledge can flourish.

CARICON is proud to announce our new partnership with the International Authors Forum, an important step forward in our commitment to strengthening the Caribbean literary community.

Through this partnership, CARICON and the International Authors Forum will work to educate and empower Caribbean writers to better understand their rights, protect their intellectual property, and negotiate from a position of knowledge.

Because telling our stories is only part of the journey. Know your rights. taken in Los Angeles, California by @internationalauthorsforum

It was an honor to serve as a panelist and subject matter expert with @jaikupoetry and @internationalauthorsforum as we discussed Negotiating Contracts and the many functionalities of poetry. Conversing about the legal rights and responsibilities of a poet/writer added so much value to the lives and careers of the viewers. These conversations are important to have. I'm glad @kacy.garvey had the vision to facilitate this webinar.
