Our mission statement 📣 Introducing International Buffy Day and how we run things round here. This day belongs to the people. By the fans for the fans. We hope this global event will be picked up and cherished by all of you far and wide. For an annual celebration of our beloved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a gift to the cast, the crew and Sarah Michelle Gellar herself. 🎈

Announcing International Buffy Day on 14th April! Not only will we be celebrating the birthday of our mother slayer, @sarahmgellar, but each year we will come together to honour and celebrate Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Fans from around the world are invited to join in and show their appreciation for this iconic show. In 2026, we will be coordinating a very special global event, and we’re calling on you to get involved wherever you are in the world.

Whatever your thoughts on the reboot, this event is about celebration, solidarity and unity. There will be international rallies from LA to NYC and beyond and plenty of ways you can get involved.

Buffy helped many of us through some of the toughest moments in our lives, and it’s been a truly difficult time for Buffy fans over the last few weeks. So we’ve chosen to come together to show the world something she taught us all: to empower ourselves, to never give up and that love will always prevail.

To show your interest in supporting the campaign email us: internationalbuffyday@gmail.com.

Buffy fans know all about villain eras 😈

@hellmouthevents gives us the opportunity to embody our favorite feral Buffy moments, through cosplay, panels, vendors, immersive experiences, and reenacting scenes from the show. We’ll be posting more of our experience from this year’s #HellmouthCon!

Also, be sure to subscribe to @fandomcharities mailing list to be notified when dates for next year are announced 🤘

How it started vs how it’s going. Two weeks later and a movement was born #InternationalBuffyDay. Into this generation slayers were born. Chosen ones, born with the skills and strength to defeat the forces of darkness. We were raised by Buffy. The legend truly became a part of us and this is just the beginning….

To the fans, to the cast, to the production, to the future of the show, this day is for all of us! 💖 Happy birthday @sarahmgellar

The speech that brought us to tears. @qweenamor speaks from the heart on why Buffy is more than a show and how it has the power to literally save lives. ☂️💖 Thank you, qween 👑#internationalbuffyday #qweenamor #buffythevampireslayer #buffy #btvs by @internationalbuffyday
