Quick theatre getaway to London 🎭✨
Three plays in three days.

1. Romeo & Juliet with @sadiesink_ and Noah Jupe was heartbreaking, especially with its alternate versions of key events.

2. @interaliaplay was the highlight of the trip — easily the best thing I’ve seen in years. @mspike is an absolute queen, and the story left me conflicted and in tears.

3. Grace Pervades gave me a chance to see Ralph Fiennes again, this time in a sophisticated and witty play set at the turn of the 20th century.

And somehow, I still found time to catch up with dear friends and enjoy a bit of Notting Hill.

Feeling inspired. Bye! ✨

A few confessions to make here:
1. “I’m pouting in most of these because I completely forgot what I was doing with my face in the previous photos. Not sorry. At least I’m posing in front of my favorite building”
2. “I know DTLA very well. I love it for the architecture (which is FAB), the bookstore where I always find rare books, and the reliable coffee spots”
Downtown LA also offers features like a 3 a.m. police chase outside your window and the occasional daytime existential crisis about personal safety. But the architecture? Stunning! 😄

I’ve been to LA several times for work now, and it’s starting to feel familiar.

Not “local” familiar. More like film-location familiar 🙃 —I can probably identify more filming spots than the average Angeleno, and I know where to get coffee, catch a sunset, and get around without checking maps every five minutes. I know a lot of other things too, but it’s another story 🌴

Whenever I’m in SF, I have my mandatory Beatnik day — my favorite way to touch grass 🤍
I read some poetry and buy more books at City Lights Bookstore, head to Jack Kerouac Alley for the jazz sessions organized by Vesuvio Cafe, then stop by The Beat Museum to chat with the staff and listen to stories about the Beat Gen, and have lunch in the most beautiful building in the city (IMO), owned by Francis Ford Coppola.
An annual ritual I never get tired of 🥰

I finally made it to Yosemite and it absolutely blew my mind 🤯

I saw the famous waterfall emoji 🏞️ in real life, plus what felt like a hundred other waterfalls concentrated in one place. And the sequoias… absolutely majestic.

Special thanks to the black bearsг 🐻 for not popping up on my way — I honestly wouldn’t have handled it.

A great interaction with a stranger while we were both staring at Yosemite Falls:

Him: “It looks terrible.”
Me: “Yeah, I can’t stand it.”
Him: “Just keep looking at it — it gets even uglier.”
Me: “I hate it.”
And then we parted ways.
