Summer. Wow. What an interesting one.

I finally got to go to a proper Riis Beach hangout thx to Body Hack. In all honesty, I felt more like me than I ever have this past weekend. Thank you New York City for for helping me find myself. Every time I think this is a scene right out of a movie, and there's no way it could get more interesting, it slaps me in the face with more.

A few weeks ago, I recorded a mix at home after receiving the largest surge of spiritual inspiration after the lowkey legend @fleet.dreams played a beautiful extended closing set for Hidden Village, and it it's the most meaningful 5+ hours of music I've ever put together. It is a truly spot on representation of where I am at in life, and reminds you that love, music, and growth are all tied together. Without those 3 things, I'm not sure I would be alive right now.

This one is a slow burn. Starts at around 75 bpm, and never reaches over 120. Disco, jazz, downtempo, funk, house, acid, prog, and a few little curveball treats littered about. Summer is almost over, but It's NOT quite done yet. It's all about patience, deep listening, and hopefully finding yourself lost in your mind. This is my magic carpet ride.

When I perish, this is what I want you to listen to when you wish to be in my presence. Conjur me, please.

My main inspirations on this one for taste, experimentation, subtlty, and bringing listeners on a journey, are @scott_zacharias @carlossouffront @djnita @dannydaze, @fleet.dreams and my partner in life, crime, and DJing, Djem.

Thank you all for community, and connection.
"Change is in the works."

Yo Buffalo I'm gonna come DJ for 8 hours this Saturday, and then I won't be back around for an unforeseen amount of time. I've been wanting to play this type of extended set in a more formal setting for a while, and I'm really excited to do it at @nofunlofi

I went through about 5000 songs to curate a playlist for this, and I decided to go down a path that has always been a basis of my inspiration; Deep House.

A big focus of the night will be the slower, but majorly danceable sounds of Downtempo and R&B, that will set the tone for a night of warm & groovy house music.

Expect disco, jazz, funk, and sprinkles of other sounds that drive my taste.

It's been a hot & sweaty summer, and I'm happy to see some comfortable weather to start the end of season adventures.

We start at 5PM, go until 1AM, and then I highly suggest everyone run to 376 Grant St for the @casual_hand residency night with bestie @_notacop420 headlining.

NO FUN LO-FI is free as always, 21+, and can be busy so come early to skip the line.

See you there, yeah? taken in High Violet by @interpretivesound

Shoutout to @prince_turnipp for the great 📸
Also shoutout to @primopitino for the background art.

Got a couple gigs coming up. @neopetshopboys isn't playing, but is one of my favorite people. (+ amazing algorithm bait)

First off this Thursday the 23rd @bodyart.now is hosting an open decks/share your vinyl at @dadabarnyc for folks who have some downtempo music to share. Whether you want to mix yourself, or you want us to play it, bring some tunes in both digital and physical formats. 10pm-2am. 80bpm-115bpm.
Free for everyone all night.

Then next week on the 31st I'm back at @nofunlofi in my hometown for another 5 hour set after a little hiatus. I've got a lot of digital music I haven't played in Buffalo yet, and these grips are for the people. Starting between 7pm and 8pm. Going until 1(?)am. Also a free event. It's gonna get f r e a k y.

Asa Asa Asa..

You came around here with your warmth and positive attitude. You danced your liver back to life after it was ready to 86 itself. You showed us all that just a little bit of weed and a lotta love for music is all you need to be the last man standing on the dance floor. What the hell man? Why you gotta give us all some inspiration to persevere even through the toughest of times?

Okay done with the bit, but for reals, it's the born day of @fromtechnoasa and you should just come, no questions asked, and dance about it.
Coverr is only $5. That's it.

The food & drink is high quality. The vibes are so vibed. Slow and groovy music will be on deck. The patio will be available for big chilling. @djem______ and myself are bringing the musical heat and maybe a surprise set by our birthday mans?

New @fullspectrum.aiff residency!

Gem & Geo = GEOBALL

This one is for the slow rollers.
Those who love to take it steady.
Music for patient listeners.

We wanted to bring you something meant to change the usual pace of things. A night with a loose interpretation of music brought to you by each selector of the night. Keepin' it under 115BPM with freedom to get as looooow as we need to spark a mood. There's some room to dance, and lots of comfortable places to chat. To tea. To Ki with intention.

@dadabarnyc maintains a welcoming space meant to enjoy the accutremeans of life. From the incredible food & drink options, the enormous & beautiful backyard space, and natural the fengshui of the tastefully curated aesthetic, this is where you'll want to spend your last night before the weekend starts.

April 30th.
Help us kick things off right.
We do it every other Thursday.

Feeling healthy. Feeling good. Feeling ready to be back in NYC.

I've been taking it super easy on myself in all aspects the last couple weeks, and it has been so worth it. Caught up on sleep. Cut out 99% of the "fun" stuff. Cooked for myself and Jason Martin every day. Going for a walk to the grocery store at least once a day.

First DJ gig back in the city is a very special gathering with one of my best friends in the world @_notacop420 + the drummer from the band that taught me how to dance, @lotusinstagram 🏵
To top it off, it's a @casual_hand shindig.

@mbgreenfield aka Greenie is swinging by @jupiter_disco for a 1AM DJ set after the Lotus show at @brooklynbowl to keep the night going.
Expect funk.

It's all happening Friday April 17th.
Presales for the afters are in the @casual_hand bio.
I'll be at the Lotus show early/leaving early so if anyone wants to squad up for that, DM me 🙂 taken in Jupiter Disco by @interpretivesound

Silent Night is back with our first non-radio event and neither is it necessarily at night anymore, ergo Silent Noon. We find ourselves at a new spot, @nonazarartnyc in the East Village, with four skilled DJs mixing our usual programming of ambient, downtempo and experimental music. Ben Zo (@_lorenzob) opens with his expressive experimentation and trademark ethereality. @interpretivesound then intercepts another one of their mind-melting transmissions for catatonic catharsis. @djdannylynch demonstrates his dexterity with arresting ambient before @waterscapenyc delivers dubby downtempo within her oceanic sound. Where else to spend a lovely spring Saturday than here? taken in No Nazar Cafe by @interpretivesound

An over-priced dinner that you stayed up all night to get a reservation for, a boquet you prayed they’d like, secret gifts from an adult store you embarrassingly stuffed into your work bag.
All of the prep work for valentines day is set.

We hope to god, you didn’t get a risque negligee just for someone who’s idea of a v-day plan is to invite you to the single’s event they’re djing.
Yeesh.
