We caught up with the team behind @interse_ct ahead of their next event @modular_cape_town this Friday 🖤🔊

We discussed dance floor safety, real inclusivity within the spaces where we go to dance, and why they built an event designed to bring different sounds and scenes together.

This edition features special guests from @blackjellyyy and @betterwithyou_ct. by @interse_ct

Back on Friday, 31 July for a special edition featuring @blackjellyyy guests @buu.jinn, @s0ulchoke, and @chocolate.sinclair.

@blackjellyyy champion the global language of black dance music through adventurous, body-moving selections, with sounds from Detroit to Durban. Known for genre-defying sets, Black Jelly weave together ghetto house, techno, booty bass, baile funk, gqom, footwork, kuduro, and more into a dancefloor experience that’s both playful and powerful.

We’re also excited to welcome @queezybabaz, @scenepolitics (@betterwithyou_ct), @kaiii_castle, and @june.aiff for their Interact debuts, alongside residents @galactiqueghost and @limbada_za.

This Friday we’re joined for another pop up by @jeanmauj of @hungry4_ and @sprintf_ of @powerplay.rave

Jean is a creative director and DJ based between Hamburg and Lisbon, and the co-founder of Hungry4 — a Lisbon-born platform bridging international talent with Hamburg & Portugal’s vibrant cultural scenes.
As a DJ, his sets span the full spectrum of house, representing what hungry4 stands for, blending diverse sounds and keeping the vibe dynamic. He has played alongside many top acts from DJ Boring & Mall Grab to Job Jobse & Sven Väth

sprintf is a London born Berlin based DJ and the cofounder of PowerPlay and @knockoutsoundsystem. He co-hosted Cranial Handles on @cashmere _radio alongside SPFDJ and has played everywhere from Berghains Saule to Fold in London. In his own words, “my DJing style favours energy and excitement over imperceptibly tight mixing”. His sound is
UKG and UK Bass centric.

Rounding out the lineup we have @interse_ct organiser and resident @limbada_za , @betterwithyou_ct residents and hosts @scenepolitics as well as @warp.techno founder and resident @inference.music taken in Evol by @interse_ct
