🚨 INTERSTATE DIY IS COMING TO AN END…🚨

*Important Update:

Our time at the space has come to an end. Interstate DIY is built on top of a Superfund Site. PBOT reached out to let us know that they will be restoring, repaving and adding fencing to both sides of the underpass.

“In order for us to complete our DEQ required recertification of the environmental cap, we need to fully clear the area so restoration work can begin and the site is restored.

Fencing will be installed in a few days to secure the site and allow our crews to remove materials and restore the space to its original condition prior to the skate features. We kindly ask that you remove any ramps, rails, or other equipment under both sides of the overpass you wish to keep before fencing is placed. Anything left behind will be removed as part of the restoration process.” - @pbotinfo

Let’s celebrate all the amazing things that happen in this space one last time with a Farewell Sendoff, Saturday August 22nd, 5pm - LATE 🛹🎶❤️‍🔥

Followed by Ramp Moving Day, Sunday August 23rd 9am. Feel free to come pick up ramps you built or dropped off or maybe come take a ramp & kick off your own DIY! Everything left on site 8/24 will be destroyed.

There was an organized cleanup at @interstatediy recently, & SPS was there. Highlight’s included 4 truckloads of trash, lots of help from the skate community, & some concrete repairs.

DIY projects take the entire community to thrive & survive, & this one is no different.
