Bandcamp Friday! We’re putting a few copies of Suspects on vinyl on sale on our store for the first time at inthedeadzoo.bandcamp.com/ merch

We’re also making UK P&P free for all orders over the weekend!

NOTE
The vinyls are on demand pressings from Elasticstage. There’s been some scepticism about the quality of this new vinyl tech so we did a few test orders and they play beautifully. We sold out of the initial run on our recent tour but we now have a few more. Sold at cost. No markup. Enjoy. Stock up on the final few t shirts and CDs too.

Suspects was recently shortlisted for @loudwomen Hercury Prize 2026. Don’t miss out! by @inthedeadzoo

We’re taking a break to record some new stuff after putting our debut album Suspects to bed but life had a final brilliant surprise for us when we found out this weekend that @loudwomen had named the album on their annual Hercury Prize 12 album shortlist.

What a privilege to line up with the likes of fellow nominees @limegardenband and previous years’ winners @lambrinigirlz @probpatterns @bigjoanieband @themenstrualcramps - we’re genuinely unworthy!

This is so important for a trans / bipoc forward underground band who’ve always tried to do things our own way, self released, self managed, self produced self imagined and independent as fuck.

Thanks so much for your support on our journey so far. There’s so much more to come!

The 2026 LOUD WOMEN Hercury shortlist is HERE 🏆

Twelve of our favourite albums from the past year, chosen by Team LOUD WOMEN:

Breakup Haircut + Chroma + The Dead Zoo + Gimic + goo + Irked + Lime Garden + mary in the junkyard + Nervous Twitch + The New Eves + Witch Fever + Yakkie

This is the tenth annual Hercury, our entirely independent, entirely uncorporate celebration of brilliant women and nonbinary-led British and Irish bands.

Full shortlist and Kris Smith's thoughts on every album are up on the site now 🔗
