💫MANITO AHBEE – Where the Creator Sits

Manito Ahbee, a name rooted in the Anishinaabe language, is commonly translated as “Where the Creator Sits.” Its meaning reflects the deep spiritual, cultural, and ancestral connections Indigenous Peoples hold with the Creator and all living beings.

Manito Ahbee represents the strength, resilience, identity, and living traditions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples. It is a gathering rooted in the recognition that Indigenous cultures are not just part of our history; they are alive, evolving, and continuing through our children, our Elders, our knowledge keepers, and future generations.

It is a place to honour our ancestors, celebrate the living cultures and ways of life of Indigenous Peoples, revitalize our ancestral traditions, and pass on the wisdom, values, and teachings of our Nations to future generations.

It was a wonderful experience to hear the ancestral songs and witness the beautiful traditional dances, expressions of living heritage, cultural identity, and the enduring spirit of Indigenous Peoples.

Deep respect and gratitude to all the Nations, Elders, knowledge keepers, dancers, and singers who keep these ancestral traditions alive.

🪶 🌕✨It was a honour to be in ceremony at the Turtle Lodge, Sagkeeng First Nation, Manitoba, Turtle Island (Canada), participating in the sacred Anishinaabe Chii By Ceremony, honouring our ancestors and the spiritual connection between the living and those who have journeyed into the Spirit World.

Deep gratitude to our brother Sabe, member of the Council of Original Nations Wisdom Keepers from the Four Directions, and to the Anishinaabe Elders and Knowledge Keepers. This ceremony honours ancestral wisdom, strengthens the bonds between generations, and reminds us that our connection with our ancestors continues beyond the physical world. by @intimuju

The essence of Nature is diversity. Everything is different, unique, and interconnected. Nothing exists in complete separation; everything is part of the whole, contributing to the unity and harmony of life.

🐚✨✨✨✨Indigenous Day is an important step toward recognition, but recognition alone is not enough to build meaningful relationships with the Original Nations.

True relationship requires action, commitment, and a willingness to listen, learn, and walk together.

It is time to move beyond recognition and create meaningful cooperation with Original Peoples, honoring their ancestral wisdom, knowledge, and guidance.

Through the perspectives and teachings of the Original Nations, we can begin to restore balance across the multidimensional fabric of humanity and all life on Mother Earth.

The time has come to move from recognition to relationship, from words to action, and from separation to a shared responsibility for the well-being of all life.
