We’re excited to announce that INTO THE WILD will soon be expanding our MTB adventure options across the mainland!

That means more epic riding destinations, more weekends away, and more chances to explore some of Australia’s best mountain bike trails with us.

Planned destinations include:

The new “Log Ride” trail from the Black Stump drop-off is running mint!

Fast, flowy and seriously fun, it’s the perfect warm-up before dropping into some of Derby’s favourites like RTS, Hazy Days, AYG and Kumma Gutza Lower.

Derby is running great at the moment, so now’s the perfect time to get out there and make the most of it.

Grab a private shuttle or buggy with Bark Off Biking, hit Log Ride to get warmed up, then drop into some of Derby’s best trails!

DERBY FEST – ST HELENS TO DERBY

Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 October

We’re running return transfers from St Helens to Derby for Derby Fest, including all-day unlimited shuttle runs on our private bus.

SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER

Straight to Derby for all-day unlimited shuttles.

Bus 1
Leaves St Helens at 8:30am
Returns to St Helens by 5:30pm

Bus 2
Leaves St Helens at 8:30am
Stays for the live music and returns to St Helens after the music finishes at 8pm.

SUNDAY 18 OCTOBER

Leaves St Helens at 9:00am
Returns to St Helens by 5:00pm

On Sunday, you’ll also have the option to be dropped at Atlas, ride into Derby, then jump on the private bus for unlimited shuttle runs for the rest of the day.

$140 per person, per day
2-day pass – $220 per person

Includes:
Return transfer from St Helens to Derby
All-day unlimited shuttle runs
Private shuttle bus

Leave the car at home, ride all day and enjoy Derby Fest without having to worry about the drive back to St Helens.

Hello everyone, Luke here.

I’m proud to share that Morgan and I are the new owners of Into The Wild. With many years of experience operating our own tour company and bike shop, we’re excited to step into this next chapter and continue building on what is already an outstanding business.

Firstly, we’d like to sincerely thank Rohan and Dianne. The passion, dedication, and reputation they’ve built over the years is something we have great respect for, and we are committed to maintaining the same high standard they have established.

We’re fortunate to have a skilled and qualified team of guides and are looking forward to not only continuing the current experience, but thoughtfully expanding our offerings across Tasmania and, in time, more broadly throughout Australia.

We’re excited for what lies ahead and look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests.

Growing up in country Tasmania, we know first-hand how important a strong local community is, and how much of it is held together by volunteers giving their time.

So when the crew at Sprung said they were putting some racing on and asked if we were keen to get involved, it was always going to be a yes.

A real privilege to spend time with the legends who make events like this happen.

Three days on the bikes, built properly.

Day one riding Derby with us. Knowing where to go, when to push on and when to stop.
Day two following the Bay of Fires Trail out to Swimcart Beach and finishing the day with a swim.
Day three topping it off with a Big Papa lap after jumping in with the legends at @barkoffbiking .

This one was Lior and his daughter Zoe up from Melbourne, sneaking in some quality father–daughter ride time just before Christmas.

We run trips like this right through the season, both around Derby and over on the West Coast. Guided riding, the logistics taken care of, and those relaxed on-trail lunches using local produce that end up being just as much a highlight as the riding.

Jacob told us years ago about this epic chute he’d seen on the EWS broadcast and dreamed of checking it out in person one day. Yesterday we were lucky enough not just to show it to him but to ride it with him. taken in Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails by @intothewildtas
