Curious to know what is a Psychedelic Integration Therapist?

Check out my first blog post where I give a brief introduction describing my journey into the world of psychedelic medicines and provide a pre-journey and post-journey checklist to ensure a safe and effective therapeutic experience for those pursuing an interest in psychedelic therapy with an Integration Therapist.

As helping professionals, we're taught to value knowledge.

We attend trainings. We read the research. We learn new theories. We build our clinical skills.

And all of that matters.

But some of the most profound learning doesn't happen in a classroom.

It happens through experience.

Experiential learning allows us to move beyond simply understanding a concept intellectually and into understanding it relationally, emotionally, and somatically. It reminds us what it feels like to trust the process, surrender control, navigate uncertainty, and ultimately make meaning from our experiences.

That's why I believe experiential learning has such an important place in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. There are aspects of healing that simply cannot be learned from a textbook.

When we experience the process ourselves, we don't just gain knowledge—we cultivate empathy. We ask different questions. We listen differently. We become more attuned to the vulnerability our clients, patients, and the people we serve bring into the room every day.

This August, I'm honored to facilitate a ketamine experiential for helping professionals who feel called to deepen their understanding through lived experience, intentional preparation, and thoughtful integration.

If you're feeling called to deepen your work from the inside out, I'd love to have you join us.

Peace & Love.

✨ Feel free to reach out with any questions or send us a message for more information. Link in bio.

As we enter Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to deepen your awareness of mental health stigma and explore ways to show up for others with care, understanding, and connection.

We’re thrilled to highlight our partnership with the R&B Running Series and share a new blog from our own AMFT, Chez Tarleton. We’ll also continue our ongoing Qigong group, the Psychedelic-Informed Care Series for Therapists, and a community challenge in our newsletter, all centered on creating space for healing, learning, and meaningful connection.

As we step into a new season, we’re embracing our monthly theme as an invitation to deepen our connections with ourselves and one another. This month’s blog explores the power of attunement in our relationships and within our broader community. We’re also excited to continue our ongoing series hosted here at Intuitive Heart Counseling, along with the launch of a new group facilitated by one of our own clinicians, each offering intentional spaces to gather, reflect, and grow together.
