There are moments in healthcare that you cannot explain with science alone. Matteo’s story is one of them.

He talks about THC, the rush it gives, the way your heart races, and how the body learns to crave the chaos even when the mind knows it is breaking.

Addiction is not a moral failure.
It is a loop that hijacks your physiology and convinces you that pain is comfort and comfort is foreign.

Anyone who has sat with a patient in withdrawal knows this truth.
Anyone who has watched a loved one spiral knows it even more.

The hardest part is that you cannot rationalize your way out.
You cannot use willpower to override biology.
You cannot tell your body to act like it is fine when your nervous system is screaming for the very thing that is hurting you.

Matteo Esposito explains it with honesty that cuts through the noise.
Addiction lives in the heart and in the brain.
And it pulls both in opposite directions until the person stuck inside feels split.

If you know someone who struggles with substances, or if you are quietly fighting your own battle, this clip may feel like someone finally understands.
