Ork Painboy

This guy was a very fun model to paint. Very pleased with the skin on this and the surgical gown and mask. Resisted the temptation to go too heavy with the blood splatters as I still wanted them to look relatively clean. For an ork, anyway.

Ork Nob.

That’s the last of the introductory set orks done. 🥳 Big thanks to my mate Ash for sending them to me. 🙏

This was my least favourite of the six sculpts when they were revealed, so I left it until last. Actually had a lot of fun painting him, especially the gut plate and the axe head. I will need to paint up a couple of the Armageddon boyz to go with them to make up a proper squad, and find some bits to give one of them a burna. . . 🔥

Not got much painting done the last week, but did finally finish up another Boy. Also a bit sad that my pre-orders for the new stuff won’t be arriving until Monday. 😞

First of the new Boyz completed. This one is one of the extra sculpts from the Introductory Set rather than Armageddon.

Not quite finished what I was going to post today, so here are some closeups of the Wartrakk. I think my favourite bits are the trousers on the gunner and driver. 👖

Wartrakk from the Armageddon box set box set.

I tried to add as much visual interest as I could whilst still maintaining the predominantly black and white colour scheme; so as well as splashes of brighter colours there’s also lots of texture to all the different materials.

I had a ton of fun painting this and am looking forward to adding some of the new Warbikers coming out soon.
