This was a durational performance piece I did during the course of the @mfasummershowcolumbia opening, drawing from observation for roughly 3 hours.

Come to see the ‘finished’ drawing and see what I saw at the opening!

I will be drawing onto the surface a few more times during the course of the show until its closing on August 29th. I will be at Art Cake again on Sunday, August 16, adding/drawing from 3-4; maybe something else will happen. Hope to see you there! by @inxoc

Introducing our MFA in Visual Arts class of 2027 cohort @inxoc

Ina Kim is an artist based in New York. Working across drawing, painting and video, she considers the fragmented nature of public/private image absorption and her own production as a primary source of inspiration. Her practice is concerned with notions of representation and its distance from the source. Images are drawn from personal albums, cultural memories and internet sources to build out scenes that evoke simultaneous intimacy and distance, cultural recognition — capturing and evading attention, questioning compositional hierarchies, having their own fun. by @inxoc
