Hi! I’m İrem, but some of you might know me as Iona! 💌 This name came about one day when my cousins and I wanted to create an anonymous shared account, and when I eventually started this account on my own, I decided to keep the same name ✨

[Türkçe]

Merhaba!

I’m 26 years old, a Capricorn, and my rising sign is Taurus ✨ I graduated from university in 2023 and I currently work as an interior designer. Whenever I’m not working, I spend quite a lot of my time here. I love being on this account so much that I sometimes even forget to check my personal account 🤭

When it comes to my reading taste… I think I feel most at home in fantasy books! 🏰✨ I love getting lost in different worlds, magical atmospheres, and stories that can take me away from reality for a few hours. I also have a soft spot for cozy romances, slow-burn love stories, and books with an academic or slightly gothic atmosphere. Basically, if a book has a beautiful atmosphere, a little romance, and a world that pulls me in, there’s a very good chance I’ll love it 🤭📚

Actually, I’ve been around here since I was 14. I had a Bookstagram account that I started back in 2014 and kept using for many years, by @ionasdiary

November is here, and we’re slowly approaching the end of autumn 🍂 Rather than seeing this month as a transition into winter, I want to embrace it for what it is and enjoy these last weeks of autumn. I really don’t like how social media makes us feel like we’re constantly rushing to catch up with something, waiting for something, or trying to make life move faster than it should. Sometimes, instead of focusing on what’s coming next, it’s so much nicer to simply enjoy the moment we’re in and accept things as they are. I think we could all use a little more of that 🤎

October was my most productive reading month of the year! I read a total of 6 books and 1 graphic novel. And it wasn’t just a month when I read a lot, but also one filled with books I genuinely loved. My favourites of the month were Immortal Rose, The Mirror of Infinite Endings and If It Makes You Happy! 😍

I’ve already picked out 6 books for my November TBR, and I hope to have another lovely and productive reading month filled with wonderful stories. But this time, I also want to remind myself to slow down a little and savour every book I read 💌

What did you read in October? And what are your reading plans for November? ☕️

Ayın favorileri ise Immortal Rose, The Mirror of Infinite Endings ve Yeter Ki Sen Mutlu Ol oldu! 😍

Kasım ayında okumayı planladığım 6 kitabı da çoktan seçtim. Umarım yine keyif aldığım, güzel hikây by @ionasdiary

Immortal Rose 🥀🏛️🕯️

I went into this book with pretty high expectations, but I honestly didn’t expect to get this obsessed and fall so completely in love with it! 🤭💛

I’d never read a fantasy book revolving around perfumes before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I absolutely loved how unique the concept was and how beautifully it was woven into the story! I was hooked from beginning to end and couldn’t get enough of everything that was happening!

I loved both of our main characters so much! I adored Viola’s ambitions, the way she thinks, and how independent and multifaceted she is. And Hugh… 🥹 It hurt to see him wear himself down trying to protect everyone else, and I loved him with my whole heart! His grumpy, reserved attitude kept reminding me of Mr. Darcy 🤭😍

AND THE ROMANCE!! AS A SLOW BURN LOVER, THIS WAS EVERYTHING I COULD ASK FOR! 🫠 The tension between these two was insane, and I was losing my mind over every little interaction! I loved the push and pull, the way they acted around each other, and how their relationship slowly developed. Give me all the slow burns with this much tension, please!! 🙏

The unique concept, the magical world, the characters, the romance… I loved sooooo many things about this book, and I honestly didn’t want it to end! I have a feeling I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long time! 💛

Come with me to watch Sense and Sensibility with my friends 🎬💌

Watching this film with my friends made the experience even more special! 🥺 The bond between the Dashwood sisters, the beautiful cinematography, and all the romantic relationships made it such a delightful watch. But if there’s one thing I loved the most, it’s Edward and Elinor 🥺💛

Edward has officially become my new Mr. Darcy, and I fear I’ll never be the same again 🫠💌

Although I did feel like some things didn’t quite fit the period, I still enjoyed every second of it. Now excuse me while I go watch every single edit of Edward and Elinor! 🤭✨

Benimle Sense and Sensibility izlemeye gelin! 🎬💌

Weavingshaw 🕯️🏛️🕰️🖋️

I have so many wonderful things to say about Weavingshaw that I don’t even know where to begin!! 🤭 I really wanted to read this book in physical form because I was sure I would love it, but I never expected to love it this much! 🕯️

You know how some books have a few things that stand out to you, while others draw you into the story through every little detail? Well, Weavingshaw was one of those books for me. The author handled every detail with such care that I was genuinely surprised to find out this was her debut novel. It was one of the best debut novels I’ve ever read! The atmosphere, the characters, and the way the whole story came together were all so beautifully done 😍

Waiting for the second book is going to feel like an eternity, but I’m more than happy to reread this one over and over again in the meantime! 🤭🤎

What I read in a week? | realistic edition ✨

Because sometimes you read 100 pages a day, and sometimes you reread the same page five times. Both are part of being a reader 😅

I was hoping to have a really good reading week and read more than I usually do, but between reading a little slower than expected and being busy with other things, this is what I ended up with! Hopefully, I’ll have a much better reading week next time! 💌✨

How was your reading week? 📖

Bu hafta okuduklarım | gerçekçi versiyonu ✨

Kendimizi bazı günler 100 sayfa ve üzeri okurken bazen de aynı sayfayı beş kere okurken bulabiliyoruz. Sanırım okuyucu olmanın yanı da bu! 😅

Sizin okuma haftanız nasıl geçti? 📖

The Mirror of Infinite Endings 🍎🦊🏹

I’m so, so happy to finally be reunited with Evangeline and Jacks, but at the same time, I’m heartbroken to be saying goodbye to them… 🥺💛

There’s something so magical about the way Stephanie Garber writes this world and its characters. The moment I start reading, the words seem to disappear, and suddenly, I find myself lost in the middle of this enchanting story 🍎✨

Honestly, before picking up this book, I had no idea what kind of story I was about to dive into. All I wanted was to spend more time with these characters. But the direction the story takes brings us into an entirely different perspective and offers us a whole new way of looking at this world! 🪞🦊

I absolutely adored every second of this book, and it still wasn’t enough!! I want to spend so much more time with these characters, and I’m simply not ready to say goodbye to this world just yet 😭 And we NEED a Lala and Chaos book!! Now that this novella has made me even more excited about the two of them, Stephanie simply cannot leave their story here! 🥺💛

A little guide to the characters I’ll be channeling until autumn ends 🍂🕯️

Think bookstore visits, rainy afternoons, romanticizing the smallest things, getting lost in fictional worlds and pretending I’m the main character in my own autumn story 🤎☕️

Now I’m curious, which characters would you love to channel this autumn? 🍄‍🟫🦊🍁

Siz bu sonbahar hangi karakterlerin moduna girmek isterdiniz? 🍄‍🟫🦊🍁

I’ve waited all year for this moment! 🥺💛 I’m so excited to see Jacks and Evangeline again and lose myself in this magical world once more 🍎 This series will always feel like my very own fairytale, and I can’t wait to turn the first page and fall under its spell all over again 🦊🥧✨
