IONI is a love story… a love for family, a love for culture, and a love for authenticity and quality. The inspiration for IONI Olive Co came from a family grove in a small seaside town on the eastern coast of Greece. It was here that I was first introduced to the unique Manaki varietal by a very passionate cousin of mine. Manaki olives, native to this region, are the heart and soul of our olive oil. Smooth & buttery, delicate & balanced it compliments dishes without overpowering them: I was hooked at first taste. I have been lucky enough to have this olive oil as a staple in my pantry and am now looking forward to making IONI a staple in yours.

Two years of IONI, and Manaki is still the olive at the heart of every bottle.

This olive started it all — grown in the Peloponnese, harvested early, and cold-pressed within hours of harvest. But beyond all the details, it was the taste that made us believe in IONI in the first place.

Thank you for being here, for bringing IONI into your kitchens and onto your tables, and for making these first two years so special. 🫒

Next time you’re shopping for a high quality olive oil, look for these things first:

🫒 Harvest Date or Best By Date 🫒 Origin + Variety 🫒 Extra Virgin 🫒 Bonus — Organic Certification

These details tell you the story behind the bottle. A harvest or “best by” date gives you a sense of freshness, while a specific origin and olive variety tell you where the oil comes from and what olives were used to make it. And “extra virgin” tells you that the oil meets the highest grade of olive oil and was produced through mechanical methods rather than chemical refining.

If organic matters to you, look for the certification. Words like “natural” or “pure” don’t necessarily mean organic.

With IONI, you don’t have to wonder where your oil comes from. Our olives are freshly-harvested, single-origin Manaki olives from the Peloponnese, and they’re certified organic.

You may have seen “single origin” on an olive oil label. But what does it really mean?

It means knowing where the olives behind your oil were grown; the region they come from helps shape what you taste.

The olive variety, soil, climate, and harvest all play a role in what ends up in your bottle. With single-origin oil, that sense of place isn’t lost in a blend of olives from different regions.
