Missing home doesn’t always mean missing a place. Sometimes, it’s missing the way time used to pass there. More slowly. Without feeling like you always had to be somewhere else. It’s missing the roads you know, the people who have known you since you were a child, and the little things you may not have appreciated quite as much back then. With time, you come to understand that your roots are not something you leave behind. You carry them with you, wherever you go.
