I don't usually talk about issues other than animal rights and veganism. However, if I call myself as someone who stands against injustice and exploitation, I cannot ignore it when the victims are humans as well. I cannot ignore the fact that a democracy like India is being turned into a dictatorship by this fascist government.

I support Sonam Wangchuk! A man, who is a scientist, an educator, an environmentalist, who has done so much for this country, had to put his life at risk by going on an indefinite hunger strike just to ask for accountability from this government.

Narendra Modi must resign! Dharmendra Pradhan must resign! We will not let you destroy our country! Your time has come!

@dhruvrathee you're one of the smartest people I know. You’ve built your entire platform on the idea that we should lead with logic, question inherited traditions, and look at the world as it truly is.

However, you advocate for becoming vegetarian to address the issue of animal cruelty. When the fact is being vegetarian is simply a diet and has nothing to do with animal cruelty whatsoever. The problem of animal cruelty does not start with their murder and consuming their meat, it starts with the mindset that views animals as commodities. And becoming vegan is to change this mindset and to reject animal exploitation.

Your voice holds so much power. I genuinely urge you to follow your own logic to its final, most ethical conclusion: become vegan and join the movement for animal liberation.

Being part of a marginalized community means knowing what it feels like to be judged, excluded, and treated as less than—simply for existing. That understanding of oppression, of having your identity dismissed or controlled by others, creates a deeper sensitivity to injustice in all its forms. And when that lens is applied beyond humans, the connection becomes undeniable: animals, too, are reduced to commodities, their suffering normalized for the sake of convenience and pleasure.

A moment of awareness turned into a decision to no longer participate in that harm. Choosing veganism became an extension of standing against oppression in all forms—a step toward aligning actions with values. Because justice, when it’s real, includes everyone.

We live in a world where we’ve been conditioned to think our "lifestyle choices" are more important than someone else’s existence. We’ve placed human pleasure at the top of a moral hierarchy, leaving animals at the bottom as mere "products" of our culture.

But empathy doesn't have a cultural boundary. A sentient being’s capacity to suffer is far more real than any recipe or social custom. It’s time to stop hiding behind "the way things have always been" and start looking at "the way things ought to be.

It’s easy to get lost in debates about how meat affects our behavior—whether it makes us aggressive or not. But while we argue about our own chemistry, we ignore the most important person in the room: the victim.

The animal doesn’t care about your "food preferences" or your "cultural traditions." They don't care if you feel more "energetic" or "calm" after your meal. They only know the pain of being a commodity.

If a specific food makes you feel "calm" or "aggressive," it’s still morally irrelevant if that food required the exploitation and slaughter of a sentient being who wanted to live. We’ve turned a matter of life and death into a lifestyle debate about our feelings.

When we hold someone accountable for their choices, it’s not an attack on their character or a claim of superiority. It’s a refusal to let the victim be forgotten in a sea of human excuses. Because when there is a victim involved, your "choice" ends where their rights begin.

It's easy to talk about justice in theory. It's harder when it asks us to change our own choices. by @iprasanna_

People often say that one person doesn’t make a difference. But morality has never been measured by the size of the impact — only by the integrity of the action.
If we truly believe that using animals is wrong, then every choice we make becomes a chance to live in alignment with that belief.

Choosing not to participate in harm isn’t about changing the whole world overnight. It’s about refusing to contradict our own values. It’s about walking through life knowing that our actions reflect the compassion we claim to stand for.
And when enough individuals choose integrity over convenience, the world inevitably shifts.

When we say eating animals can’t be compared to violence against humans, what we’re really saying is that animals don’t deserve the same moral consideration. We’ve been conditioned to draw that invisible line — to see human life as sacred, but animal life as expendable. Yet, the moment we justify harm based on species, we’re repeating the same logic once used to justify racism and sexism — that one group’s life and suffering simply matter less.

The truth is, injustice always begins with the idea of superiority. Whether it’s based on race, gender, or species, it thrives on the belief that some lives are worth more than others. If we reject discrimination among humans, why do we still accept it when the victims have feathers, fur, or fins?
