Reggae Rise Up FL 2024: I learned so much during this last RRU. How to plan, lead, listen, observe. Was it perfect with no mistakes, no. Was it beautiful, amazing, successful, and full of growth, YES.

Getting a team to follow you is not always easy. And paying them only does so much. I learn more every festival on how to bring others up, motivate them, recognize peoples strengths, and how to give people the correct tools to win.

This last festival I gave a lot of people their first opportunities to climb and it’s interesting to see the ones who complain and find a reason they can’t do their job, and the ones who say “nothing will stop me from absolutely killing this”. I am so proud of so many who arose to the occasion.

In my experience I have worked as a tour manager, audio engineer, PM, and more. But for me nothing competes with the work load and satisfaction of a festival. The crew/team is so large and the stakes are so high. But I find it to be the ultimate rush. I am so fucking grateful for my life that I have worked so fucking hard for. And grateful for the team at LNE that I get to do it with. And my fest production team. Excited to do the next one even better. Thank you all who support me in what I do. Man, this last weekend meant a lot to me. Tim Mahoney from 311 is one of my favorite guitar players. And is also such an awesome and kind human being. Been needing a little bump lately, and the universe seriously never disappoints. I got a call a couple days ago to come out to Vegas and it reminded me that I need to stay spontaneous. Stay driven. Stay kind. Stay in awe and excitement. I need to keep doing things that freak me out, or seem impractical or crazy. These guys contributed so much to the fire that was lit within me so so many years ago. A fire that has kept me stubborn enough to stay in this industry/art/passion/dream. Whatever you want to call it. The fire that strangely enough brought me out here years later. I reconnected tonight with a friend who mixed some of their albums. A person who has done amazing things for me and the fire that still burns today. Such a good, pure weekend. Big thanks to my friends Manley and Evan for their trust and having me out here with their family. Now for two hours of sleep, and then on my way to Reggae Rise Up Florida to begin that build. Have you ever wondered what the view is like during the show for the monitor tech position? I’ve mainly been a FOH guy, but I love doing monitors. You get to feel the energy that hits the band. So fun. by @ipushthebuttonz

I’ve always loved British gain amps, and fender cleans. Such classic amps. But sometimes you just get it right the first time. I would love to hear some of the amps you have discovered that have become your favorites:) by @ipushthebuttonz
