We live and breathe NZ rugby! 🏉
International Rugby Academy based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On the turf, on the beach, on the field, in the gym or out in the hills - anywhere is an opportunity to train!

At The Academy, training is about more than just putting in the hours. It’s about developing every part of your game and giving you the tools to keep improving long after you leave.

Skill-specific sessions. Position-specific work. Team training. Individual Development Plans. Gym sessions. Video review.

We work on the details that make a difference, while building the fundamentals, habits and understanding you can take with you wherever your rugby takes you next.

And it’s not just about what happens on the field. Nutrition. Mental skills. Recovery. Being a good teammate. Understanding how to look after yourself and those around you.

Becoming a better rugby player is only part of it, we help you to become the whole package! by @ir_academy

Another key part of The Academy is the travel & adventures you get to experience while here. And New Zealand has heaps to explore!

Beautiful beaches, volcanoes, waterfalls, mountains, geothermal landscapes and plenty more.

With weekly excursions and off-days open to exploring some of the North Island’s best spots, there’s always something to get stuck into. Surf lessons, epic swim spots, rafting the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world, dolphin encounters, natural geothermal spots, world-class hikes and discovering endless beaches.

Think coffee and sunrise swims to start your day, and ending it with a BBQ on the beach or soaking your muscles in New Zealand’s many natural hot-water streams and pools. Create core memories with your new teammates and experience more of New Zealand’s rich culture along the way! by @ir_academy

One of the biggest and best parts of life at Inside Running Academy is the people you meet!

Whether you’re here for two weeks or twenty, you quickly become part of a group of like-minded players and make friends along the way.

Players come from all over the world, from Fiji to Ireland, the USA to the UAE, Tahiti to Singapore and everywhere else you could think of! You train together, live together, share different cultures and hang out outside of training - beach trips, cinema, adventures, nights out, birthdays and everything in between.

There’s heaps of laughs, plenty of banter and a few stories that turn into folklore and get told for years to come. So many of the friendships made here continue long after you head home.

Sometimes the rugby world feels pretty small too - you might even find yourself lining up against a former Inside Running teammate at a tournament on the other side of the world. by @ir_academy
