Quite a record for two people who said, “Let’s watch a film.” 😂

FLC has officially completed 50 films!

50 films may sound like a number, but for us, it represents every discussion after a screening, every new filmmaker we discovered, every opinion we fought over, every person who walked into the community for the first time, and every story that stayed with us ♥️✨

16.08.2026 — My first time watching a stage play at @erode_naadaga_kottagai ❤️

Honestly, I didn't expect to feel this much.

The play hadn't even started. The song and dance that happened before the play began was enough to make me emotional. I don't even know exactly why I cried. Maybe it was the feeling of seeing so many people come together and put so much of themselves into an art form that I was experiencing for the first time.

I've watched so much cinema, but witnessing theatre in person felt completely different. There was something very powerful about seeing the performers right there, in front of us, sharing their emotions with everyone in the room. I'm really glad my first theatre experience happened like this with my FLC friends.

A big thanks to Aravind @enscripted_joker for taking us there and making this experience possible. And thank you, @hariharan.ra , for capturing these beautiful moments so wonderfully ❤️

When we started FLC, we only knew that we wanted to create a space for people who love cinema.

We never really imagined all the people, friendships, conversations and memories that would come along with it.

A year later, moments like these remind us that FLC is no longer just something we started.

It belongs to everyone who has found a little bit of themselves here ♥️✨

You can’t really explain the fun in sitting with LGBTQ folks and actually listening, understanding, and unlearning things about society. I’ve been doing all of that lately. Thanks to @nirangalsiva for such an insightful discussion.

Working across different spaces and functions, reading books with political ideas instead of the rom-coms I was used to, watching way too many films and then talking about them, breaking them down, seeing them differently. @film_lovers_commune

A lot of this change didn’t come from me pushing myself, but from someone who kept pushing me, questioning me, and making me think. He shares his perceptions, and somehow it changes mine too. Slowly, but deeply. This is his way of spoiling me - pushing me to grow, explore, and see more of the world.
