The time paradox between Eren and Grisha in Attack on Titan is one of the series’ biggest twists. Through the Attack Titan’s ability to access memories across time and the Paths, Eren is able to influence Grisha’s actions from the future, pushing his father to kill the Reiss family and steal the Founding Titan. Grisha originally hesitates and begs future Eren to stop, but Eren’s presence and manipulation ultimately convince him to go through with it. The paradox is that Eren’s future actions helped create the very circumstances that eventually led to Eren becoming the person who could influence Grisha in the first place. There is no simple “first timeline”—the events form a closed causal loop where the future affects the past, and the past creates the future.
