I’m happy to be joining the reviewers for the 2027 PhotoVogue Virtual Portfolio Reviews, connecting with artists from around the world and engaging with their work, ideas, and perspectives. The Virtual Portfolio Reviews will take place online on January 16, 2027, bringing selected artists into one-on-one conversations with an international community of editors, curators, gallerists, publishers, agents, educators, and creative professionals. Duane Michaels and death. He had often thought about it and tried to translate this ungraspable idea in images. That is why I strongly wanted to include this iconic one in the exhibition “THIS IS THE END” that I created as artistic director of the @cortonaonthemove festival in 2024. I was told Duane would never agree to have a wall paper made from this photo. He did and sent a nice note. Maybe it is that I put it next to the words of Leonard Cohen that mused over all the ways of dying in “Who by fire”. It all takes an entire new meaning today.

And who by fire, who by water

Loved the show Face Value: Celebrity Press Photography at @themuseumofmodernart — it brought me back to the times I was diving into @la_stampa ‘s precious print archive. Researching there was such a treat. There’s something magical about those old editorial notes and hand-marked photos — traces of how images were crafted long before Photoshop or AI. taken in MoMA The Museum of Modern Art by @irene_opezzo
