Today in Miami, I had the pleasure of visiting the historic Alfred DuPont Building in downtown. I was truly impressed by its beautifully preserved original floors and timeless architectural details, from the intricately carved brass elevator doors to the original wood-and-glass doors found throughout the building. It’s inspiring to see so much history, craftsmanship, and character so thoughtfully preserved.

One year ago, my life changed forever.

I was diagnosed w/ pancreatic cancer. I am OK now 😀

There were moments of fear, uncertainty, major surgery, chemotherapy, and days when I wondered what life would look like on the other side.

Today, after completing treatment and recently having my port removed, I find myself reflecting on everything this journey has taught me.

It taught me that time is precious.

That health is a gift.

That resilience is often quiet.

And that even in our darkest moments, hope can still find us.

Above all, it deepened my faith in God. Through every step of this journey, I felt His love and His presence. And I truly believe that the Blessed Virgin Mary never left my side. She was with me in the operating room, beside my hospital bed, through every chemotherapy session, and in every moment when fear tried to take over. Her presence brought me comfort, peace, and the strength to keep moving forward, one day at a time.

I learned that the love of my family, friends, clients, and medical team carried me through some of the hardest days of my life.

I also discovered that purpose can exist even during life’s most difficult seasons. Designing jewelry and creating beautiful pieces for my clients gave me something to look forward to. It reminded me that I was more than my diagnosis.

I don’t share this seeking sympathy. I share it because we never truly know what someone else is carrying. If my story can bring hope, encouragement, or remind even one person to cherish their health and the people they love, then it is worth telling.

I know not everyone has the same journey, and my heart is with every patient and every family facing this disease.

Today, I move forward with immense gratitude, for life, for every ordinary day, and for everyone who stood beside me.

While meeting with a client and sketching her next bespoke creation, these magnificent trillium-cut gemstones became the inspiration. Their brilliance, warmth, and perfect symmetry reminded me that the most beautiful pieces begin with a dream. Like a bouquet of golden citrines, each gem seemed to capture a ray of sunshine—except nature created this masterpiece first ✨

Every petal, every shade, every facet of golden light is a reminder that the world’s greatest designer will always be Mother Nature ✨

Today, inspiration also appeared in the most unexpected place—behind a glass case filled with vibrant gelato. Sunny yellows, soft pinks, creamy whites, and rich berry tones mirrored the palette of precious gemstones. As a jewelry designer, I am constantly inspired by color, and moments like these remind me that beauty exists all around us—in nature, in art, and sometimes even in dessert ✨
