Bio:
Jake Kincaid joined inewsource in June 2025 as an investigative reporter covering federal impact and a Report for America corps member. He previously reported across the U.S. and Latin America on a wide range of topics including prosecutorial misconduct in Ohio, political repression in Nicaragua, and the U.S. coroner system’s failure to count COVID-19 deaths. A former Overseas Press Club fellow with Reuters in Mexico City, his work has appeared in NPR, The Guardian, USA Today and the Miami Herald. He was the county government reporter for Pinal Central in Arizona.

He holds a master’s degree from Columbia Journalism School and speaks fluent Spanish. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, rock climbing and playing fetch with his cats. by @iresdsu
