First day. First time learning the foundation of barbering.

Scissor-over-comb is where control and feel start. Most barbers avoid it early, our students start with it.

Three students beginning the process.

Shout out to our recent group of IBC graduates. The hard work and dedication each of these lads put into the program and into themselves, it was a pleasure to witness.

It wasn’t easy, with a couple major setbacks along the way, but they stuck it out and we got there in the end.

Rhys and Cillian secured jobs before finishing, and both Eoin and Michael have trials lined up this week.

120 hours of live client work in 12 weeks gave them the confidence and experience to hit the ground running.

As always, thanks for all the hard work. Go get it lads 💪

The philosophy at IBC has been and always will be to provide hands-on practical barber training that gets you working on the shop floor - not just sweeping the shop floor.

It's very simple, you need to do the thing to learn the thing - not just watch someone else doing the thing, for that is simply a form of research and it can be done for free online, or at any local barbershop if you're sound!

Here at Irish Barber College we choose to provide live models EVERYDAY for every student - in order to gain the necessary time under tension to truly begin this incredible trade.

If you've read this far and decided that learning to cut hair using your hands and not just your eyes is the way forward, then check out the start dates below:

●18th January (Limited Availability)
●19th February
●28th March

Get in touch now if practical education is what you need - because we are probably your only option.

Congratulations to Brenton, Karl and Calum on completeing our beginner barber training program. Calum secured a barbering job 3 weeks before he finished the course and Karl secured a job 2 weeks after finishing. Through our program they gained the vital experience necessary to perform on the job and prove themselves in a trial situation.

Well done guys 🙌
