• If you’ve voted already, thank you.
If you haven’t yet, today’s the day.
Can’t really complain if we don’t vote.
It’s our civic duty, our sacred right, hard fought over years and years.
Whoever wins, we need to hold their feet to the fire and remind them of the reasons we voted in historic numbers during this early midterm voting.
What are your reasons?

• What are these photos, you ask?
These are photos of our visit to a “sh*thouse country” in 2025.
At a campaign rally in Michigan the other day, Mr prez complained about Norway being one of these countries because he was snubbed (again) for the Nobel Peace Prize. So, instead of campaigning on real issues that matter to US citizens like high grocery prices and consistently outrageous gas prices and ridiculous government corruption and the Epstein Files that haven’t been completely released yet, he complains about a trophy he WILL NEVER receive 😂
Please enjoy these “sh*thouse country” photos
and Go Vote if you haven’t yet.

• What is a Rhinebeck Sweater? There are as many descriptions as there are crafters. For me this Rhinebeck Sweater was a full circle moment. A very special moment.

The first time I trekked to the annual NY Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, NY was back in 2016. I bought the ice blue Saxon Merino wool from Catskill Merino and stored it in my stash for someday. I purchased the green wool from the same vendor a year later at another smaller festival. Since then the founder of Catskill Merino, Eugene Wyatt, suddenly passed away in 2018, leaving all of us in the crafting world reeling and somber. Heavy hearted. His good friend and accidental shepherdess, Dominique, picked up the pieces and has run the farm with incredible care, success, grit, and heart.

Fast forward to today. I finally had a chance to visit the Rhinebeck Festival again after 10 years. I was determined to finish and wear this sweater with this special yarn and stop by Dominique’s booth.

Thank you Eugene, Dominique, and the sheep.

• The Anna Vest has many little extra special details in the construction that were interesting and worth the extra effort. The alternate cable cast on is very elastic and gives a polished look. It is a v-neck vest knit in 3 parts, mattress seamed together, and then a button band added at the end. Mattress stitch is an invisible seaming technique. Totally satisfying, even magical ✨ The yarn has a unique structure. Soft merino wool blown into a mesh constructed of Pima cotton.

• Autumn 🍂 and Sweatah Weathah 🧶 go together so effortlessly. Here is my #rhinebeckhaul 😍

It was a pleasurable Saturday. Yes, it was crowded but everyone was shiny and happy. And the wool fumes along with crisp red leaves underfoot and cidery smells and the spectacular autumn landscape were like a great big hygge of comfort and joy that I needed more than I thought.
